Grayson Allen

Complete doofus. Would be mortified to watch that, as a parent. Think I would come down from the stands and escort him off court, by the ear, in a loving, fatherly way. Then take away some of the 2-year-old's toys, for good measure. Wait- is Fran his dad? That would make sense.

He would belong on a team with Adam Woodbury, and Jason Sutherland.

What is wrong with him? And what is wrong with Coach K for enabling the punk? It's so immature. The dude is a Junior and should know that this is unacceptable. I think Coach K better do something or Grayson may be banned from the sport.

Young man needs some serious anger management classes as well as to be suspended for at least 5 games. Duke doesn't need this clown.

Grant Gibbs can also join those other 3 d-bags on the team. I will think of 1 more for a starting 5 on on the (dbag AA team)

If you watch his post game interview you get a sense of how young and immature some of these guys are. He's literally crying while answering questions. I'm not defending him at all, but he knows he messed up. I believe it is not a premeditated thing. I think his emotions are just bigger than his head. That's not a compliment.

The sad part is that if this was all happening to Coach K's players, he would be absolutely squealing for something to be done about it. So step up and suspend Allen for some games that really matter.

Krzyzewski's postgame remarks are pretty comical: "What Grayson did was wrong, and he was punished for it."

Yeah sure, Coach. I'll bet the next time a repeat offender trips one of your players, then does the fake, "Lemme at him, I wanna fight!" routine once his teammates step between him and the player who was tripped, you'll say that a technical foul is sufficient punishment. Sure you will.

Actually, those sorts of things have happened numerous times in the past. Look at the Miami games 4-5 years ago. Look at the Virginia games in the late 90's/early 2000's and the Clemson games during the same time period. There were plenty of issues with NC State in the post-Valvano years. And there have always been sporadic issues with UNC. Coach K would go nuts with the officials during the game but I am not aware of any time when it carried over to after the game, "squealing" or anything else. That is why I was so surprised by his actions with the Oregon kid after last years NCAA game. Not remotely his style, unlike coaches like Williams and most notably Dean Smith.

Just checked Yahoo to see the status of Allen and he was listed as a "Guard on the Duke women's basketball team." The appropriate jabs are already flying. Had to laugh at that.

He appears to have some sort of a mental problem. By the time you're a junior in college, you should really have some ability to control your actions. Something is not right with that dude.

You sound like that annoying poster from Michigan who comes here to defend any and everything said about his program. I really don't want to hear how he sounds remorseful or other apologetic talk. Sometimes you just have bad character.

They said the same things about Christian Leitner.. I think coach K likes having a few wild cards on his team, that guy that gets under the other teams skin.

Suspend him for two games and I won't dismiss Coach K's postgame remarks as the usual self-serving B.S.

If you can lecture an opposing player about making a shot against your team late in a game, surely you can muster the integrity necessary to finally teach your own player that his douchebaggery has real consequences.

Forgot about that.

Dudes a thug. This is 3 times, he's lucky he hasn't hurt somebody.

He is very lucky that a group of players on the other team haven't hurt him. Winking

Can you imagine how easy it would have been for Larry Bird or Michael Jordan to get in his head if Grayson Allen played in the NBA back in that era? Hearing the trash talk he will have to endure from the current NBA players because of his behavior would be worth the price of admission for court side seats. Winking

Looking at Duke's schedule the next four games would indicate that he might not be needed as much as he will be later in the season. Hopefully the length of his suspension will not be dictated by the strength of the opponents on the schedule and he truly gets the help he needs.

One of the most clueless posts I've read in awhile...

And no, this is not his first time doing this. It's number 3! The consensus is that Coach K has done little to discipline him and the jury is out on this go round.

Don't forget the part where the kid went full Pelini on the bench
