Gotta say.......

This is as excited I've been for Nebraska basketball in a long time. And then I sit back and slap myself knowing that I'm happy we fired a coach after 3 years because he took us down to 75th in the ranking. And I'm celebrating a 6 year coach who is .489 here and has us up to 67th in the ratings.

Just remember, there are a lot more Div 1A (or whatever the top tier of NCAA is these days) in basketball than football.

Also remember, a few more spots up the ladder and we could be dancing again.

I know they don’t take the top 64 teams, with automatic bids for conference winners and all, but we aren’t that far off if we continue to climb...

RPI probably isn't going to climb much, but NCAA bids are not totally about RPI. If Nebraska could secure the #4 seed in the conference tournament, I think it would be very hard to leave them out. Long way to go, obviously, but NU will be in that #4 position tonight if Purdue beats Michigan.
