I kind of get vibes of him being a self promoter…..that’s not good for team chemistry.I think he's bad news, and I don't care what his resume' says.

Butler, Prince, Williams, Jackson, Ty, Nash, Gbayor, Thompson all bye bye.Diaco supposedly was a proven DC 🤔. Staff changes are usually a gamble. There’s lots of moving parts. Gotta have the dudes.
Did everyone forget Walters went to Colorado? Dude would not coach here and his scheme does not fit what Rhule wants to do. He's a fine DC but got carried by 3 NFL DB's.Good lord, that dude named about 37 potential names! Leonhard would be a dream hire, and Walters would be good too. He hates Nebraska but that's fine with me, just win baby.
Dana Holgerson grew up in Iowa a Hawkeye fan, granted that was long before we became conference mates but we didnt disqualify him for that.Did everyone forget Walters went to Colorado? I don’t care if he doesn’t. Most people are able keep their career trajectory separate from dumb crap.Did everyone forget Walters went to Colorado? Dude would not coach here and his scheme does not fit what Rhule wants to do. He's a fine DC but got carried by 3 NFL DB's.
I just think if it was Butler it either be announced or some kind of leak . I think it’s an outside guy .Rhule is a defensive coach. He has a backup plan in Butler and he could likely dictate what he wants done. We'll see. I expect there to be some type of announcement after signing day.
What is it with Illinois and all those kick ass DB's?Did everyone forget Walters went to Colorado? Dude would not coach here and his scheme does not fit what Rhule wants to do. He's a fine DC but got carried by 3 NFL DB's.
I tend to agree. If plan A was going to be Butler at DC, it should have been announced already. That fact it hasn’t means he is somewhere between plan B-Z.I just think if it was Butler it either be announced or some kind of leak . I think it’s an outside guy .
Matt may just want to wait and then unload everything at one time in a very long PC.I tend to agree. If plan A was going to be Butler at DC, it should have been announced already. That fact it hasn’t means he is somewhere between plan B-Z.
I saw an interview with Christian Jones he said something interesting. When they asked him about TW moving on he said Coach Rhule had something up his sleeve and always makes good defensive hires I am not worried whatsoever.I tend to agree. I think he is the NFL to stay IMO.I want Jim Leonard not only because that would be a grand slam but also to watch the whisky fans squirm. That would be fantastic
I suppose Matt could introduce him to the music of "Jump Around" and really stick it in 'em.I want Jim Leonard not only because that would be a grand slam but also to watch the whisky fans squirm. That would be fantastic
Diaco turned out to be a bit of a weirdo, but in truth, he could have been the second coming of Monte Kiffin and it wouldn't have made much difference. That roster was not designed for the type of 3-4 D he wanted to run. Riley allowed his AD to mau mau him into changing the D. The Davis twins were typical 4-3 DTs and were ready to start. NU barely had enough backers to field a 4-3. Incredible self own.Diaco supposedly was a proven DC 🤔. Staff changes are usually a gamble. There’s lots of moving parts. Gotta have the dudes.
Diaco wasn't just strange. He was incompetent. We did have deficiencies to run his defense but he was incapable of teaching his D as well.Diaco turned out to be a bit of a weirdo, but in truth, he could have been the second coming of Monte Kiffin and it wouldn't have made much difference. I remember our OLB's lining up in no man's land as part of his 'genius' scheme. Somewhere between the inside receiver and the line. Guess Diaco thought our below average OLB's could cover 2 completely different assignments when in reality they could hardly cover even one?Diaco wasn't just strange. He was incompetent.
