God’s children are not for sale

Saw that movie this morning, when the credits rolled with about 20 people in the the theater all stayed to watch the special message at the end. Warms my heart that it outdid Indiana Jones at the box office.
Shoot I didn’t stay to the very end but I just found it on YouTube. The movie was made five years ago and it took this long for it to hit the theaters. So sad.

Saw it today, it’s a very well done movie. Difficult movie to watch knowing that there are thousands of kids living a life that’s hell on earth. Very important movie as this has to be stopped. Evil flourishes when good men and women stand by and do nothing.

Anytime someone uses "conspiracy theory" to try to disparage someone else they immediately lose all credibility.

You know what the difference between a conspiracy theory and the truth is? About 3 months.

Welp, this actually stayed not political for a while. Then people took it political.

Clearly things not allowed on the site, please refer to the pinned post if you have questions.

These are all examples of posts not allowed (so that maybe we can avoid them in the future):

Why does this have to be Political Republican vs Democrat? I for one am not a die hard Right Wing person, and feel like this movie is an eye opener and needs to be seen. It is about the kids and saving them from this BS. Jim Caviezel even says at the end it is for the kids.

He could be Antifa, Qanon, Facist, Narcissist, Gaslighting, Conspiracy Theorist, Trump Hater, Anti Government Biden Hater, Shit Eater, Pedophile douche bag. He played an acting role in a movie I personally really appreciated.

He painted a light on a huge issue, and that is all that is needed here. I would say I lean as what I like to call myself a Conservative Democrat as financially I lean heavily republican, but I also believe very strongly about separating Church and State.

I loved the movie, and have recommended to many people, because it was so eye opening.

It’s what Libs call anyone that connects dots on Biden and other topics.

Yep…from Russia thru COVID…all were what the conspiracy folks said.

So, you know what ends up making these things "political"...locking threads.

Nothing bad will happen if you keep threads open. The nuts on the far left and the nuts on the far right will post over and over and the other 99% of us will pop in here and there and read a bit and post a bit, then move on.

If you are trying to protect your "product" just say that. We are all capitalists here and we understand the need/want for money.

How is me asking "why" breaking the rules? I literally was saying the movie was great and should not be Politically driven. Please give me a better understanding of how my post was so bad... because I stated my Political stance maybe? Had nothing to do with the point of my post, was just explaining how the movie is NOT meant to only suited for ONE Political party. I guess I don't see how my post was inappropriate?

Edit: You can delete this post and share privately, I really don't understand?

The rules around politics are are pretty clear and pinned in the very first post on the board:

This is just a friendly reminder that Inside Nebraska is not a place to discuss politics or anything politically adjacent. If you are wondering if something is political, not posting is probably a good idea. There are numerous places on the internet to discuss politics, this is not it.

Political posts include (but are not limited to):
  1. Mentioning political figures or candidates (including appointed political figures)
  2. Mentioning political parties or ideals (Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal)
  3. Mentioning organizations / ideas that are heavily politicized (MAGA, BLM, woke, etc)
  4. Bringing up politically divisive topics, etc.

If it smells like politics, it's probably politics. Mods are (unpaid) human beings and while we all try to use the above as our guidance as to what constitute politics and try to apply the rules evenly, please remember we're doing our best to enforce the rules set out by the owners and employees of Inside Nebraska.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to myself or @Zack Carpenter or any of the moderators.

In your post you made mention of about every single thing on that list.

I'm aware of some irony in the fact that your post was legitimately trying to say, "It's not about all that" but by repeatedly mentioning it (including your own personal political beliefs) your post violates the rules.

It's really quite simple. Don't post anything containing political mentions, even if it's a rebuttal to being political or a reply to someone else's political comments.

Disney owned the rights and refused to distribute it. That is what I read somewhere. The almighty Evil Empire is crumbling... insert evil laugh herr

Typical response .. attack the source, not the facts.. this better for ya ?

Great, there's one critic right there.

I'm against all of these broad generalizations for headlines-- "They all loved this but they all hate _____"-- as click bate and a way to get the minions pissed off about something or afraid of something. I think it's the same way on both sides of the political spectrum but I'm sure some on this board feel differently.

But in any event, it's best to keep the politics off a Husker Board.

My post about conspiracy theories being proven true in about three months is considered a violation of board rules?

Mmmmmmmmm-kay.
It was not. Any quoted reply to a post that breaks board rules gets deleted as well.

But I undeleted it and removed the offending quote.
