Give HH 1-2 NFL ready WRs and/or 1-2 ready NFL RBs how good would he be?

This is what I debate with myself. He has nothing basically, especially with the injuries. His skill positions have been decimated by injury, most QBs would struggle in the same situation. His OL is still trying to figure it out. I'm skeptical of the kid but he has guts.

How many QBs have had that at Neb in the past 10 years?

Your guy AM had Stanley Morgan and Devine Ozigbo, both multi-year NFL guys

Never won more games in a year than HH already has while playing 3 full seasons

Do we have any skill player like that right now? They are all freshman and a kid with two knee injuries.

His problems would still be making the right reads, delivering the ball accurately and ball security. He needs to get better. He’s got a likely NFL TE and NFL speed at WR. He just plain didn’t see open guys at times tonight but that’s not unique for a college QB.

Fidone looks like a shadow of his pre-injury self

I would love to see him get to that point where he’s a potential NFLer but he’s a far cry from it now

Needs to keep getting confident in that leg.

I agree that there are better QBs out there. HH is trying to make chicken salad out of chicken shit and he looks bad doing it. Still think we can upgrade until the light comes on for HH. If it ever comes on.

Getting better after wins > getting better after Ls
He’s still a freak. His vertical going after high balls is impressive for a TE. It would be interesting to see how much his vertical, shuttle and 10 yard times have changed. The point really though is NFL WRs probably wouldn’t matter if we can’t find and hit the open guys we already have. He should get better with more experience.

Were guys running free, I watched the game at home on TV? People in the stadium saw a different game.
He missed an easy TD at least once. CT missed seeing some open guys last year too. The game comes at you fast.

Did you get your answer today?

They certainly should have tried something else. A new qb might have given the team a boost.

Rhule said he didn’t even consider it.
Why would he?

We have one player capable of making a big play on offense and everyone here wants him benched

Bad game today, on to maryland

Agree but Harrberg is a mediocre QB at best. He should be a tight end.

I don’t know. He was playing so poorly maybe you try another guy and see if he can actually throw it to a wide open receivers. Maybe they can’t. That is a pretty sad qb room.

feel free to post pics of all the "wide open" receivers.

many claim this, none post proof.

he missed bullock (no guarantee he catches it - pans for hands like you read about)

he missed Lloyd on a super long developing drag route (we can't block)

over threw Fidone on INT #2

those are 3 off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more and welcome photographic evidence of them.

His completion percentage was 42%. I realize you like the kid and I do as well, but that’s not gonna do it. It sure looks like there are open players.

Again, maybe he’s the best we have, but we won’t win much with a 42% completion. What was his qb rating?

I get it

you and others beat the "wide open" receivers drum. maybe there are. I listed 3 plays that have to be made (granted they're not all on the QB).

it was ugly today. nobody played well. defense got cooked by the worst offense we've seen all season. special teams was abhorrent. offense was terrible.

on to maryland

Agree. I hope he proves me wrong and tears it up next weekend.

Are you related to HH? Why all of the posts seemingly to come to his defense? He’s a tough kid and our best option this year but he can be criticized no? He hasn’t played particularly well - especially these past two weeks.

do you not see the 3 callouts on plays he missed in the post you quoted?

is that not critique?

You’ve posted maybe 100+ posts since HH began starting that “we have out Qb”. Just saying it might be week to give that a rest. Because, in all reality, we “don’t have our ideal Qb”. Our other current options are just worse. We need an injection of talent on offense - including the Qb position.

I'd settle for officials who call DPI's when an opposing DB wipes out our freshman wide receiver, negating a touchdown.

The INT when Bullock is open and likely to score TD is the difference in the game.

Either the ball slipped or he pulled a Joe Dailey or it was just horrendously bad.

Yep - we played poor against a team that had won 2 games entering today’s contest. Shouldn’t have come down to 3 points. Neb only led briefly (2-3 minutes) in the game - right?
