Volleyball GAME STORY: Huskers, now-unanimous No. 1 ranking in tow, pull out a dogfight to move to 24-0 for best record since '06 title team

Would have been really interesting if we had dropped that 1st set. Thankfully, they did just enough to survive that set. Survive and win as it wasn’t pretty.

FINAL
Nebraska wins in four: 28-26, 24-26, 25-11, 25-20

As unpretty as unpretty gets. But the No. 1 Huskers remain unbeaten at 24-0 and 15-0 in the Big Ten. After getting run off their own floor by Nebraska in a sweep three weeks ago in Evanston, the 'Cats came to scrap. But Nebraska takes the game for its 16th straight win over the Wildcats (11-14, 5-10).

The Huskers have now surpassed the 2006 national championship team with a 24-0 start to the season. Next challenge, eventually, will be matching the 2005 runners-up, who started that season 28-0.

Merritt Beason came out of the gate firing, but she cooled off to finish with 13 kills on .189 hitting with 10 digs. Harper Murray had 13 kills and 7 digs, Bekka Allick (11) and Ally Batenhorst (10) hit double figures in kills as well.

It's a young team and we're undefeated. I'll take it. Bergan had an off night, it happens.

We get everyone's best game.

this is the absolute truth - like how it was for the FB team in the mid 90's - but this Husker team keeps pushing forward and finds ways to win against any and all opponents/styles/road/home/etc. - special couple of years ahead for Coach Cook and this program
