Today starts a big weekend for the Nebraska baseball team as the Huskers (24-17-1, 9-6) hope to bounce back from a Wednesday loss to North Dakota State at Haymarket Park. It'll be a tough task as Nebraska flies east to take on the No. 23 Maryland Terrapins (31-15, 11-4) for a three-game series in College Park. The Terrapins possess one of the best offenses in the country as they are second in the nation with over 100 home runs and lead the Big Ten in numerous offensive categories. However, Maryland is ranked 13th in team ERA, so there could be plenty of offensive outbursts this weekend.

This begins the final three-week stretch of the season for the Big Red who are currently in a three-way tie for third with Indiana and Michigan in the conference. The Terrapins enter the weekend leading the conference with Michigan State right behind with a 9-5 league mark. Nebraska really can't afford to be swept this weekend as that'll put them against the wall in terms of qualifying for the Big Ten Tournament at the end of the month in Omaha. Winning at least one game needs to happen.

Tonight on the bump we have LHP Emmett Olson (5-2, 4.06 ERA) vs. RHP Nick Dean (3-1, 4.70 ERA). Here is the full series preview to get you ready.
