There have been a couple of guys that have done it, like Stephen Neal for the Patriots (3x winner of Super Bowl), but it's rare. Should be interesting.

Stephen Neal was a world Champion freestyle wrestler who signed with the Patriots in 2001, played 10 years starting 81 games at guard winning 2 super Bowls.

If he commits, he can make it. He’ll be hard to contain, but the learning curve and jump in athleticism will be a shock initially. His blend of quickness and understanding of leverage are a big advantage.

Athleticism obviously won’t be an issue. Kind of figured he might bulk up and go interior DL instead of outside DL. Seems easier to learn Xs and Os as I wouldn’t think there would as many variables????

It should be interesting to see how long this guy lasts in fall camp. Brock Lesnar only made it a couple weeks, but he had a WWE contract to fall back on and didn't care to be on the taxi squad. Steveson didn't make it in the WWE.

I’m a bit surprised he has never played the game before, at any level. It will be fun to warch
