Per Huskers.com, junior forward Nick Fuller has announced he will transfer to another school for his senior season.
Fuller is set to earn his degree in May, meaning he will be a graduate transfer who can go anywhere and be immediately eligible in 2017-18.
“I just want to thank the University of Nebraska, the fans and all my coaches and teammates for everything they’ve done for me,” Fuller told Huskers.com. “I’ve really enjoyed my time here.”
Head coach Tim Miles called Fuller a "rock" for the Huskers because of his dedication and work ethic on and off the court.
“Nick is the kind of guy who will run through a brick wall for you,” Miles told Huskers.com. “He was a loyal team guy to the program, to his teammates, to his coaches. I know I didn’t always give him the role that he hoped for, but at the same time, his dream and my dream were the same – we both wanted to be in the Big Ten, growing up as little kids. He was going to make the most of it, and I think he did.”
Nebraska now has an open scholarship to fill for the 2017 class.
