Frost gets Shawn Clark (App St HC) as his OL coach

Does anyone else still find it hard to believe that Frost is back as a head coach at the Division 1 level?
No, because UCF is desperate and nostalgia is about the only thing they can cling to.
No, I figured he would get another gig at a smaller school.
I don’t see his second run at UCF looking anything like his last. A lot has changed in the last 5 years.
However, there is less pressure to win and the level of competition isn't nearly as good as the B1G.
Apples to oranges. He also won’t have B1G caliber roster either. He caught lightning in a bottle and beat up on bunch of AAC teams, that’s right, AAC… He now has to play in a more difficult conference with a less talent. Yeah the Big XII sucks, but it’s considerably better than the old AAC. Don’t see UCF being in the top half of that conference very often. We’ll see…
The new Big 12 is basically like the old AAC. The Big 12 poached all the good teams from the AAC, much like the SEC and the B1G poached all the good teams out of the Big 12.
Yeah they pulled the best qualified teams from the old ACC, but the conference (Big XII) is overall much better than the old ACC.

Nothing is guaranteed as we all saw with the recent Nebraska Colorado series.
Colorado being tied for 1st place in the Big 11 conference standings is evidence of just how bad the Big 12 truly is. They aren't that much better than the old AAC.
Umm yeah. I was sure he burned his career after the shit show here.
Hopefully he grew up some but we will see. I'm not thinking so because I still haven't seen an apology to the university.
I'm sure he will, as soon as all the fans who booed him for the 1996 season apologize to Scott Frost.

Unlike the very end of his career here, I get no pleasure in seeing any failures of Frost now. It’s done. I would like him to succeed. But, as said before, College Football is much different now.

It is SUCH a connection business when it SHOULD be treated more like sales, where you are either good at it, average or you suck.
All coaches run the same drills in practice, they all have the same practice plans. The ONLY differences are...
1. The players
2. The play calls
That is it. So I think a lot of AD's and HC's, hire guys that have sucked because they feel like "Hey, they can be better this time"
Why? Terrible work ethic, drunk, womanizer. Less successful at Nebraska then smiling Mike, which takes some doing.

Frost pretty much disproved this one. The longer Martinez stayed here the worse he got. Hutmacher and Robinson got a lot better as soon as frost and his crewhit the road.
And assuming that actually having players and getting players as part of the job, Frost was an idiot. One year we didn’t even have a competent field goal kicker. I’m not talking first year Rhule bad I’m talking couldn’t hit an extra point bad, getting a kicker from the student body bad. And how much of an idiot do you have to be to botch Dylan Raiola’s recruitment? It doesn’t matter if you believe the frost was hammered on margaritas and didn’t come over to Dylan’s house. Dylan made it quite clear that once there was a competent coach in place at Nebraska, he was going to try and come here.
OK, I have a niece who was in college around that time and said that Frost used to have college parties out at his house and used to “poach” coeds. There’s the Brendan Stai story of which there is a hot mic recording talking about frost swimming up to his boat this summer he was hired and boasting about having just banged a cheerleader. Many of the people on this board have seen the video of that recording. So try and rejoin us on planet Earth sometime.
If I recall the stories of Frost drinking were at country clubs, or in private, so why would you think their would be pictures?
If he was at a public bar doing this, like urban, I assume there would have been pictures.
Bo was a decent coach at Nebraska, the best we’ve had (so far) in over 10 years. He made the division two national championship game if I recall correctly after he left. But he had an uncontrollable temper, which is what the tape was all about. And why he is no longer here.
So a NT and DT got better as they got older and stronger? Okay
And Amart basically put up the same #'s each year? Okay

Oh wait, sorry, I should not have said that about her because I clearly don't actually have proof.
She told me this directly. It’s none of your business whether she went to the parties that he hosted when he was the football coach at Nebraska or not. Hell it’s none of my business whether or not she banged Frost or not. And apparently you don’t know about the Brendan Stai hot mic deal, so you are confirming that you’re not even a casual Nebraska fan. Or you’re avoiding discussing it while confirming Frost was getting hammered at country clubs, Either way you should stop digging.
