Here are some quick notes to pass along from Nebraska's full-pads practice on Friday morning...

***Head coach Scott Frost confirmed that linebacker JoJo Domann was back with the team in Lincoln after missing the bulk of the first week of fall camp. Frost said Domann decided to stay at home for a few extra days to continue to rehab an injury. Since he was left off the 110-man roster, Domann was able to return to Lincoln when he was ready.

Domann was able to "do some things" on Friday and Frost said "everything looks good" in his recovery so far. Frost said it "won't be long" before Domann is ready to fully get back in the mix.

***HuskerOnline was able to confirm that Nebraska is still holding a spot for Jahkeem Green on its 110-man fall camp roster. He's expected to be academically cleared by the NCAA soon.

***In order to make room for Domann on the 110, NU deactivated a walk-on player. In all, the Huskers added three new players to its 110 this week in Domann, Christian Banker, and Noah Stafursky. Nebraska is currently at 109 players with one spot being left open for Green.

***Because of the way the academic calendar sets up, Nebraska still has two more full weeks of camp left after wrapping up Week 1, which is more than they've had in previous years. The first week of classes begins on the week of NU's season opener.

***Frost added more praise for Alex Davis, saying the senior linebacker was "vastly improved" from a year ago. Frost said that was all because Davis was finally comfortable in his position and scheme, and now he was "letting it loose" instead of always overthinking things.

***Frost wanted his team to be more physical and tough in practice this year, and he's gotten exactly that. Frost said he actually had to have talks with his players the past two nights about toning things down a bit because practices were getting "a little too reckless."

Frost added that he'd much rather have to tell guys to back off than to have to push them to go harder.

***Frost said the defensive backs had "made such a 180" compared to a year ago that "it was hard to describe it." Frost said Lamar Jackson "looks like a completely different player" and Deontai Williams was "playing great football" right now. He said the DBs as a whole had a swagger about them that translated into their play on the field.

***Frost said Noah Vedral was "throwing the ball as well as well as I've ever seen him" this fall. He also said Luke McCaffrey was making a bunch of plays with both his arm and his legs.

Frost said top to bottom he felt so much better about his quarterback room, saying last year it was scary at times because they would only have two healthy QBs going into a game.

***Frost said he's been impressed with how well Wan'Dale Robinson and Miles Jones have looked in their reps at running back, and both could definitely help in the backfield this season. Frost also said he's liked what he's seen from Maurice Washington outside at receiver.

***Frost said Ronald Thompkins was getting very close to being able to getting back and being ready to take reps after his knee injury in high school.

***Frost said Dedrick Mills has "handled himself like a pro" since the day he arrived in Lincoln, and his work ethic and understanding of the offense have been even better than the staff had hoped.
