Fred nailing it about the Creighton Cuckster Fans!

What a fool, his basketball program benefits from the contributions made by the Jayskers when they attend Husker FB games and buy merchandise too. I’m sure there are some Mavskers in Omaha as well. Definitely a unique situation with only one major college football program in the state who else should they follow.

How does his basketball program benefit from who attends the football games.? His basketball program pays for itself.

I used to hate Creighton. a lot.

since they've moved to the premier basketball conference in the country, however, I have a hard time hating them as much as I once did.

I now believe it's pretty awesome that the state of Nebraska boasts a legitimate annual Final Four contender while giving Omahans a chance to see traditional Big East powers up close.

Hope we can continue to play them tough and find ourselves in the field of 68 for a second straight season. it's nice to have this measuring stick on the schedule every season.

Time for Fred to deliver another win in the series.

Fred loses me with the "not very much fun for the coach" stuff.

A lot of Power 5 basketball coaches seem to think it's a lot more fun to play Florida A&M, Lindenwood and Delaware State year after year, while collecting enormous salaries and bonuses. Good work if you can get it, I suppose, but fans actually like to see competitive basketball.

I think the context is in the stress involved in these types of games. Not that he's afraid of competing against tough teams, but the extra pressure involved with competing against a team that you are consistently measured against.

Fred should apply for one of those stress-free jobs that pays $5 mil per year.

I think Fred is a good guy and a decent coach. I think what he said has been taken a bit out of context. I'm sure Fred isn't afraid of or overly stressed by Creighton's BB program. More so it's probably the overreaction of fans that make it a frustrating week of coaching.

When did Creighton join the B12? 😉

You’re the one who used words like “stress” and “”afraid” while doing your usual finger-wagging about taking his comments out of context. I just found his remarks to be odd, and a bad look for someone whose team plays a maximum of 3 or 4 competitive non-conference games per year.

Hate to say it because I can't stand all things Badgers, but Wisconsin has played really well so far. They look sooooo much better without Chucky Ballhog, and John Tonje is a stud.

Tonje would have been a huge get for either of his home-state teams.

Huskers at Bluejays tonight. Zero talk on here. This is why the creighton hate is stupid. No one cares about the rivalry. On either side. But now someone will do some childish creighton dispelling and blather on about their fake hate. Fact of the matter is that we discuss Matt rhule’s biweekly press conference and care more about the head coach napping in his office than anything basketball related.

we care about hoops

we just expect to be blown out by a million

rivalries are best fought on even footing

Never stopped us from discussing any football game

Nebraska doesn’t care about hoops. Unless they’re winning. But that’s not caring about hoops. That’s just caring about winning. Not the same.

everyone is still surprised when we get killed in football

Nice start for the Huskers, although so far I think it’s really more about the Jays being pillow-soft.
