Foster Farms Prediction Thread

One major variable. How many times does our QB throw the ball to a player in the wrong colored uniform? If it's zero, I think we could have a chance. More than 1, and we have no chance, IMHO.

UCLA 45
NU 27

A few late scores make it look worse than it really was.

We play a damn good game offensively and defensively. Almost double them in yards and hold the ball for a quarter more. And best of all we hold them to a goose egg on third down!

Wait a second...
HOLY CRAP! NOT AGAIN!

I guess we lose after our quarterback throws multiple interceptions and commits a few game killing mistakes...

I have absolutely no idea. Depends on which players really care more.

UCLA 34
NEB. 20

I agree but TA's play can kill our momentum/motivation if he continues to throw it to the wrong team...it is all on his shoulders and we all know it. Winking

I rarely care about what uni's we are wearing. But for TA's sake, let's hope it's a color he can recognize. Red seems to make some sense here.

God love the kid but my support for him has waned. And it's primarily to his attitude.

If he wants to be treated like a freshman...2 "bad" interceptions...on the bench the rest of the game.Winking

First half Tommy plays under control and the game is close. Second half Bruins make a run a Tommy can't help himself. Hero syndrome kicks in and Bruins capitalize on at least two incredibly stupid turnovers. Bruins win 35-17.

Alternative prediction. Coaches decide we really are going to play to this team's strengths. Tommy is brilliant with his legs. Husker are cruising and Tommy fumbles. Langs see this as his opening and goes completely slap happy passing and looses the lead due to at least two interceptions. UCLA 42-40. Husker blow 26-7 lead.

I'm really more curious what the narrative is that comes out of this game than the actual game.

Is it another brick in a rebuilding project, or is it just a bunch of if's and buts, woulda, coulda, shoulda type stuff.

Are we trying to build on the future now, today, or is this just a throw away opportunity since the team will look much different next year.

It will be interesting to see what the story line is

This is my narrative. The game-time results of the bowl game do not matter (unless we blow them out 80 ta nuthin' or vice versa).

The positives I see have already happened concerning the bowl game. We had a recruit visit practice. The players were not left to their own devices post season.

Motivated D line gets good pressure. Gives the DB's some much needed help. Huskers look good for a 1st half. Then for no apparent reason UCLA roles in the 3rd.
Then N finds a way late to win the game. N wins 45 38.
What the hell one last Xmass gift to myself.
Tis the season for optimism GBR.

Don't really care cuz this season sucked as usual but with a competent QB we'd win by 10 (wait, we'd be in a much better bowl) but as it is

UCLA 42
Huskers 17

They score 17 points off of Tommy picks

Best case scenario? Tommy commits several turnovers in 1H and Riley has the stones to bench him for the rest of the game. Thinking about that all winter may have a profound effect - or maybe nothing ever will?

Like I said in another thread, I feel if Nebraska sticks with Newby at RB, we don't stand a chance. Get and keep the running game going and I think we can win this. I don't think they have TA throw more than 25 passes today.
