For those of us who love to play the victim card

I have one.

What if we win out and end up 10-2 with a pretty decent bowl game? Will people be happy with that, or is last night going to keep them from enjoying the rest of what might be a pretty good season?

Last night shouldn't surprise anyone if you were being honest about where and what we were. We'll get better, but in the mean time don't forget to enjoy our probable 10-2 record with a top 15 ranking by the time we play a good bowl.

That's why I laugh at post like the OP...as if they ever thought we were going to win this game..even if we were healthy....It may have givenough us a 15% chance to win.

We played 3 Walkon OL against that D....lol...save the fake outrage....they have been looking to gripe anyways.

I will give people this...There is no excuse not to play the under classes OL if they are healthy.

I'd be very impressed with a 10-2 season.

My issue with Herbstreit is there is no way he can broadcast a game involving OSU and be unbiased...and May PICKED us last night....

If we end up at 10-2, I would expect the talking heads to discuss how incredibly weak the remainder of our schedule was. Teams that have national respect do not get blown out at this time of year – ever!!! Unfortunately, the narrative "another blowout, another year for Nebraska" sums up our program over the past decade. The truth sucks.

But what can't be said about Nebraska this past decade is 10-2... if we finish strong then part of the narrative begins to change.

But focus on the blowout if you want.

After Tommy was taken off the field I knew it was going to get ugly and thinking our season was going to go down the drain.

That being said I hope this team doesn't let them effect them like some of us fans I believe this team has a lot to play for with out the dream of a conference title more likely unattainable.

I don't think we can win with Ryker Fife at the helm, this is Tommy team and I hope he comes back the sooner the better.

I didn't think we would win in Columbus but I thought the days of getting beat like a drum were over.

Wisconsin lost 59-0 two years ago in game 13. They came back and won their bowl game against Auburn and ended up ranked like #13. They earned plenty of respect back.

There will be no more blowouts this year!!! We could have easily beat Wisky, man people are acting weird this morning. 10-2 with one blowout, did folks think we were going to go from a losing record to awesome in a few short months?

I know that May picked us. After years of our fanbase bellyaching that he had something against us, didn't like us, he stepped up and picked us – and how does he look right now? Do you think he'll be on our bandwagon the next time we face a high-profile team? Herbie picked us for the Wisconsin game - but we all pissed and moaned about how the game day crew chuckled about us being in the top 10. I would say they look pretty intelligent right now - wouldn't you? Apparently they saw something that us Kool-Aid drinkers didn't. Every program has injuries, but I don't see every program getting a** raped on national TV.

and talk about how ESPN, Herbstreit, May, etc don't give us the respect we deserve - I give you last night's game. Any questions???

Look at Arkansas they were beaten like us against Auburn 56-3 had their bye at blasted ranked Florida yesterday it happens.

I just thought when we got rid of Peelini we wouldn't be getting beat like a rented mule.

But even Devaney was beaten bad by Oklahoma 47-0 in 1968 before he won back-to - back national titles.

The big problem with yesterday's loss is how the team just gave up on it all, and early on. I think it was baffling to coach Riley in his press conference after the game.

I thought the OP was spot on. As a fan base, NU fans complain and complain, but then the team shits the bed on national television. It's been going on for years now.

I get people don't like their noses rubbed in it, but he's right. We had an opportunity, and instead of being a team with some pride, we folded like a house of cards.

I'm not very convinced that we are going to finish the season 10-2. I know many are trying to salvage something, maybe to get to the place before yesterday happened or trying to pretend it didn't happen, but it did. 7-5 is also possible.

Because their, confidence comes from Tommy...They feel they can come back with him at anytime...they knew that wasn't happening without him.

this game wasn't going to be much different if TA played the entire game .. maybe we only lose by 5 TDs
he played a representative sample and was 4/15 with a pick 6 and we were down 24-3 at the time

lets not change the narrative to "if only TA wouldn't have gotten hurt we would have mounted a comeback" .. it is delusional

Pretty sure no one is saying that... what is being said is that we were at least moving the ball with Tommy from time to time... the team follows its leader. And when it's leader is out, things can snowball that much more, which is exactly what happened.

But even if Tommy was fine the entire game we still get blown out... the margin would have been closer, in my opinion.
