Did anyone else feel there wasn't much enthusiasm in the crowd yesterday? I've attended many Husker games and this was the first one that didn't seem to have much excitement or energy. I don't know if people aren't optimistic, it was too hot outside, or what, but from the start and throughout, it just seemed like the crowd lacked energy. It was very weird to me.
After the game, I heard a lot of "at least he's a nice guy" comments walking back to the car with my son that I know was a shot at Riley, but I didn't hear a lot of debate, anger, or anything. Just silence. Four times from the stadium to the car on the corner of 9th and O, we heard "it's like a funeral". Of course, after the game that's expected especially with the way we lost, but from the beginning and throughout, it just seemed like the place wasn't rocking and this was a close game. Thoughts?
