For all the Dana lovers…

My son goes to Rice University and couldn’t believe he was OC “ we (rice university) beat them (Houston) last year- 😆 “
He called a pretty good game. His play calls didn’t give the ball to Iowa at the 5 yard line, didn’t miss a FG, didn’t let their RB run through 2 tackles on his way to a TD, didn’t drop a pass when wide open.

Yeah he was certainly not the problem. Iowa just knows we will **** up. Play good enough D and wait. I absolutely hate them and their boring ass team, but it’s effective against us.

NO HE DIDNT, reverse to a true Freshmen, passing TWICE on 2 and 3rd downs with only 2 yards to go!!!!! , when Nebraska is averaging!!!!! 6 yds / rush

2 of the 3 games his O scored less than 14 points. Even Beavis and Butthead are scoring on Wisconsin, this year. I'm waiting for the end episode of Scooby Doo where someone pulls off Holgorsen's mask and it's Scharterfield.

If this program doesn't clean house next year, Rhule shouldn't get a 4th year. Unless there are boatloads of offers elite players can't refuse cash, why would anyone want to come be part of this loser program? I don't see next year being any better without a serious infusion of talent and a major house cleaning.

Rhule’s gonna get his clock cleaned next year. Go look at the schedule.

He didn’t lose this game. There were a couple of questionable calls, but that’s the nature of the gig. I’ll take him going into next season without flinching. Would love to feel good about at least one or 2 facets of our special teams.
I wonder if Dana wants to ride or die with DR next season or would he rather have a transfer come in?

DR missed some throws, but there was a bad drop and a bad no call when the DB ran over our WR. Where he really screwed up sometimes is when he held the ball too long instead of throwing it away. He’ll get a lot better with time.

Dana absolutely CHOKED with the game on the line. INside zone gashing them for 8 yards a play and then we decide on first down to throw to the side line (not a bad play call overall, honestly, if we run it on 2nd down) and then on 2nd down do a reverse? WTF!
He called a good game once again. There's always going to be some play calls that we don't like. Give credit to Iowa. That defense doesn't make many mistakes and tackles well.

I agree, Dylan's season was basically baptism by fire into big boy football. I'm sure he'll improve a lot with 1 season as a starter under his belt.

You aren't wrong. It is tough to call a complete game.

It just sucks that it was glaringly obvious what was working. I'm also not sure why, if we were going to do a reverse, we didn't do it with barney and instead did it with a player with such limited experience. It was sloowwwwwww.

I see this as the 100% opposite. Dana sees the talent of DR coming back after a full season starting as a True Freshman QB. DH can put together an awesome offense and parlay that into more perhaps….if he is looking for more at this stage of his career.

^^^ typical Nebraska fan ok with losing to IOWA (with only 5!!!! First downs)
I see where your boy gets it from. Too bad for him, sometimes it skips a generation. I feel terrible for your dad and mom, they must lie about you and their grandkids all the time

Did you see what happened right before that? Matt Rhule's bumbling ass came down the sideline to tell Dana to try to run the clock out. The offense was doing perfectly fine, but MR had to get involved and turn everything to shit.

I agree with that. I wouldn't doubt if that was a "woops" call. Maybe Dana had someone else in mind when he called it and then later realized Nelson was in.
