One strategy Rhule has had with his coaching staffs apparently everywhere he has gone is hiring key HS coaches and man is that smart. Unfortunately, the Texas HS coach didn't yield a lot of results, but Phil Simpson has been credited with bringing in Barney and Shavers and at least helping with three others. Mozee can do the same thing for us in KC and with the rule change he'll be able to recruit nationally during the season.
Unfortunately with NCAA rule changes regarding number of coaches on staff, this soon will become common practice.

To be fair, he had a very good college career (Jackson St) and played several years in the ABA and NBA. He had a decent pedigree.
The more I hear about Mozee the more I think he will flip N. Could be our biggest WR prospect commit in a long time. If not ever.
To be fair he would not have been hired to the Kansas Coaching Staff that year if his son was not Danny Manning.
Likely true. Though he did follow Larry Brown as an asst for the Spurs after he left KU in 1988.
