Serious?Still too many people standing around. Got to put in that work.
Well everything in context. While agree there was a lot of standing around, those are also teachable moments. I don't expect the whole practice was like that and everyday should be better as they learn. New position coaches and players. Maybe 1 positive thing about no spring game is you can work more on technique in practice with the limited days available rather than worrying about learning new plays etcStill too many people standing around. I was definitely getting dizzy watching that thing...terrible video. Looks like a 6th grader took it with a cell phone.
Looks like Ed Foley going onto the field at 1:30 into the video. We need a lot of work, but saw some good things too.. liked seeing Phil Snow teaching, something about that guy gives me confidence.
How do you know one didn't?terrible video. Looks like a 6th grader took it with a cell phone.
Blye Hill looking good on a couple of reps thereMore/better video from us
If our defensive line gels and plays well I predict this will be the best Nebraska team since 2010. That is a big "if" since they have as yet proven nothing. But I am optimistic. We have no all American or even all B1G guys on the team on either side of the ball (perhaps Raiola may become that this year) in our starting rotation. But it might be the best overall team we have had in ages....Isiah Mozee had a nice day, I also noticed the size of our defense line, looks like they did some work over the winter and much bigger than I expected.
This video much better.
I know we'll all have lineup discussions in 6 months... but... with DK gone, if Dylan would go down, who steps up at this point? is it Lateef as a Freshman or does it come down to Gramstad or Longval? and with a tight limit on players, how many QBs do they keep?
If it happened early in the season likely Gramstad filling in. If it happens later, it's likely the transfer from Purdue I would think. Everyone now is saying the typical spring stuff like, the backup qb position hasn't been decided. Holgorsen said that Gramstad knows the offense and can make the throws necessary at this point. It'll be interesting to see who gets live backup reps first in those home games against Akron and Houston ChristianI know we'll all have lineup discussions in 6 months... but... with DK gone, if Dylan would go down, who steps up at this point? is it Lateef as a Freshman or does it come down to Gramstad or Longval? and with a tight limit on players, how many QBs do they keep?
Dana said it was Gramstad and said the new guys need a year to learn the system. If it happened early in the season likely Gramstad filling in. Davis and Nwaneri are sizable young men that I think would play at 280 or so. I thought I heard a current weight of 270 for one of them. Sean Callahan described the Hoffken kid as looking like he was made in a German sports lab. There are a lot of options there and I guess the question is, at the end of the day, can they play football? If they could get a rotation at the heavier end spot, that would allow some of the bigger guys to play just on rundowns and then rotate inside on passing downs.Isiah Mozee had a nice day, I also noticed the size of our defense line, looks like they did some work over the winter and much bigger than I expected.
