With Nebraska’s path to the NCAA Tournament appearing to be a narrow one (barring a deep run in the B1G Tourney), there is a chance Nebraska could be headed to Dayton for a First Four appearance this March.

Typically, teams that are force to play these play-in games are upset winners in automatic bid conference title games, but occasionally a Power 5 team is forced to “win their way in” to the field of 64.

If we can assume Nebrasketball is able to win their Tuesday game in Dayton, which of the potential #1 Regional seeds do you think is the best matchup for the Big Red in the tournament (and whose region you would want to play in)?

As of today, the regional top seeds are:
  • Villanova
  • Virginia
  • Xavier
  • Purdue
Other teams in consideration for a #1 tournament seed include:
  • Cincinnati
  • Kansas
  • Duke
  • Auburn
Limiting the list of potential opponents to these 8, which team is the best tournament “matchup” for Nebraska, and would provide the Huskers with the best chance at a Cinderella upset?
