Lets just get this out of the way, since its a recurring theme here. Supposing one wanted to fire Riley and the Staff, no ifs ands or buts...
Who is the axe man?
Does SE get up on stage less than one year from axing Pelini and do it?
Does Perlman take a break from ordering cakes for his retirement party to do it?
Does anyone really think 8 elected OWM (old white men) on the Board of Regents are going to stir the pot and embarrass their Chancellor buddy by wiping out the University power structure only 7 months and change from his retirement?
Further, but less substantiated, supposing anyone of the above fellas overrode SE on Whittingham over money (as Sharp alluded to), you really think they are going to put themselves in the line of fire when the mob only wants SE/Perlman's heads? SE doesn't just install a coach, a number of other people signed off.
And this will all happen with a smile from them on national tv?
I don't see it. Realistically the "change now" guys are coach shopping after Year 2 at the *earliest*.
