Not so sure on the sellout if this trend continues... This loss is pretty bad.No worries. 90k will continue to fill the stadium to watch this drivel and we will continue to cash the conference welfare checks. Business is good
Sellout streak is history by the 1st of November. Not so sure on the sellout if this trend continues... This loss is pretty bad.
It's amazing Nebraska hired Riley, Callahan. Those two were absolute head-scratchers from the get go. It's really no wonder they were fired. It is ridiculous how we are becoming Fire U. I understand the emotions - I was never a fan of the Riley hire and I've been off the Riley bandwagon since the Iowa game last year - but some serious soul searching need to be done by the university.
Probably not, but doesn't mean any of us would have hired anyone better than Riley. Not one of us if we were the AD would have hired Riley as the Head Coach to replace BoPelini.
Have said this from day one.
Nothing will happen until end of season but loosing record and Riley is gone. No coach should get 2 sub 500 years at Nebraska.
Cool, then look up in four years and we are Oregon St. Recognize this staff is terrible and move on.It is ridiculous how we are becoming Fire U. I hope Eichorst is the first to go.

Agree - but if the AD's keep hiring the same caliber people, we will just prolong the misery.Cool, then look up in four years and we are Oregon St. Recognize this staff is terrible and move on.

When you practice the way we do, you are never going to be good. Before we have a chance at getting better, we need a competent A.D. in place to find the right fit next time.It is ridiculous how we are becoming Fire U. Exhume the rotting body of Tippy Dye, it could work. When you practice the way we do, you are never going to be good. Before we have a chance at getting better, we need a competent A.D. in place to find the right fit next time.
Realistically, at the time, who do you hire that would've been better?Really....![]()

Michigan should never have fired Rich Rod and Brady Hoke so soon! They should have been content with losing seasons. Now they're stuck being a Top 10 program again.
Tickets are already sold but if Riley returns next year...the streak will be seriously in doubt.
Realistically, at the time, who do you hire that would've been better?
Though easier for you to say now with hindsight.
The tickets might be sold but sections and sections of empty seats would speak volumes. Honestly I have no idea why anyone would want to piss away an entire Saturday to watch the product that walks out of that tunnel on Saturdays.
If you threw out a name like Saban, Harbaugh, Stoops or Meyer then yes.And who ever I would say you would say no way he comes here or some other excuse.
I live about 3 1/2 hours from Lincoln and I am not highly motivated to travel to watch the team with that type of effort. I get exactly what you are saying.
If you threw out a name like Saban, Harbaugh, Stoops or Meyer then yes.
But that's okay, spout off crap and don't back it up with what you'd actually do...
So at the time we fired Bo you thought we could have hired any one of the 4 coaches I listed? If not, then name your 6-10. If you won't then shut up.Like I said I could name 6-10 Coach's but you would have the agenda to knit pick them..
Mike Gundy. He's a good coach who wanted (and wants) out.Realistically, at the time, who do you hire that would've been better?
Though easier for you to say now with hindsight.

I think Purdue lucked out with the hire they made. Successful at a smaller division 1 school and given a chance with the big boys. I think it is the way to go.
