Hey folks, welcome to 28 degree baseball even though it was upper 60s just two days ago. Today, Nebraska takes on Western Carolina, who knocked the Huskers out of the Clemson Regional of the NCAA Tournament in 2016.

Today's game is available on 1400 and 590 AM and can be seen on BTN Plus. As always, all Nebraska baseball games are available on Huskers.com and the official Huskers app.

Game time has been moved up from 4:05 p.m. to 1:35 p.m. today because of weather complications. I'm hearing in the press box that the weekend's games are up in the air right now, with the possibility of a Sunday double header in play. Western Carolina's plane doesn't fly out until Monday.

Nebraska now sits at 5-6 on the season after a mid-week series sweep over Northern Colorado. The Huskers have now won three straight, including Sunday's win over #5 Arizona. Western Carolina sits at 5-7 and boasts a road win over defending national champion #9 Coastal Carolina. The Catamounts have lost five of their last six games.

The pitching matchup today will be Nebraska RHP Jake Hohensee (0-1, 5.40 ERA, 6.2 IP, 5 K) vs. Western Carolina LHP Bryan Simmons (2-0, 3.05 ERA, 20.2 IP, 20 K).
