Update:
FINAL
Creighton 6
Nebraska 4
Full game recap that has some additional thoughts on the loss and the upcoming series against a Maryland team that is struggling to a near-equal degree of late:
Josh Caron's bat + defense behind the plate fueled Huskers to a 3-1 lead heading into the 8th with a solo HR and an RBI 2B + three really nice defensive plays. Huskers got out of a no-out, bases-loaded jam on the back of Casey Daiss' clutch pitching + two great defensive plays by Caron and 1B Ben Columbus.
All for not. Creighton solo HR in the 8th cuts Nebraska lead to 3-2 going into the 9th. Then, Jays cleanup hitter Teddy Deters smokes a one-out, go-ahead grand slam to dead-center for a 6-3 lead. Ball just kept carrying and carrying and went over the wall by a few feet.
Nebraska threatens in the 9th with a run, then puts the game-tying run on base with runners on 2nd and 3rd with two outs. Swinging strikeout ends the game.
Nebraska's third loss in the last four games, all three of which have come after it surrendered a multi-run lead (Games 1 and 3 at Rutgers + tonight at home vs Creighton)
Tough stretch, ugly stretch for the Huskers, who are 3-6 in their last nine games ever since cracking the Top 25.
Nebraska: 23-11 (6-3 Big Ten)
Creighton: 27-7 (3-3 Big East)

BSB: Huskers blow 3rd multi-run lead in last 4, lose to Jays on GS in 9th
The Huskers have held multi-run leads in each of the last four games. They've lost three of them in frustrating fashion.
