Fall Camp Update:Day 5

I'm extremely jealous of the access you guys get from the coaching staff. All we get is one open practice for the public and one 10 minute session with media access. I'd love the chance to dissect every bit of information because let's be honest, that's what we do.

It is pretty nice!

Do you think it can be a distraction to players? Are there really coaches standing around with phones recording stuff? I could see it helping with recruiting.

It's not coaches, but people in media standing around with cameras and phones. Usually the coaches are in the shots.

I'm sure it could be a distraction, but it might also give the players an extra incentive to do their best. I have no idea whether it is ultimately good or bad, but I think you're right in that it certainly doesn't hurt recruiting.

Those videos come from the coaches twitter accounts, but they aren't actually recorded by the coaches. I would assume the PR/recruiting guys like Vaughn and Gunderson or even some random GA's record them. Heck, Coach Williams is in most of his videos.

F'in A people. It was the first padded practice. The coaches stated that everyone was not in sync. If during the first scrimmage this stuff keeps up I might have some worry, but until we actually get some reps in, calm down. I know it's TA's past, but it is the 1ST PADDED PRACTICE!!

Just want to post after 15 practices and 3 years it's still an issue.

Armstrong throwing over 20 passes in any game means we likely lose

Tommy seems to be the same Tommy so far. link

"Before camp, I wanted to see if Armstrong had taken a big leap as a passer and decision-maker for his fifth-year senior season. If he has, it hasn’t shown up in the practices or scrimmages we’ve watched."

This is a problem if true. I do think Riley et al. will be better prepared with play calling, etc to limit Bad Tommy as opposed to last year.

Let's wait til he plays a game. Sounds like he is going to be limited throwing, and that the coaches have a plan to get him in the right position with more runs, and a zone attack. I know Tommy's faults, but it's hilarious how people jump on him after the first padded practice.

No people jump on him after 3 years of being a turnover machine and his coaches during his 4th saying he still makes bad decisions
