Extension for Fred!!!!!

Huggs returned to his alma mater after John Beilein left WVU for Michigan. No one begrudged Huggins for doing that. He was 23-12/10-6 in 2006 at K-State and left a terrific roster for Frank Martin.
This is a lie. KSU fans screamed holy hell when Huggins left after one season. KSU’s AD literally begged Huggins to stay, then threw him under the bus when he left anyway.

I live in KC and remember this quite well.

Well, I live in Manhattan, was a professor in the business school at the time, and you don't know what you're talking about, which seems to be commonplace on this site in regards to all things K-State.

Wrong again. I don’t care about your credentials. Your favorite pervert alumni was all over the radio back then, railing on Huggins. The AD had a news conference and didn’t use the words “liar” and “traitor”, but that’s what he said of Huggins.

Speaking of common place, it’s common for low-rent KSU fans to wander on this board and pretend they’re not worried about being stuck in the rotting corpse of the Big 12 conference. And we all know you’d trade places with Nebraska in an instant if given the chance.

You won’t be given the chance.

NOTE: Didn’t mean to quote Harry Carey, only the jealous KSU fan.

Not K-State football..

Jim Dickey was the first to lead K-St to a bowl game and he insisted that he wanted the turf be purple at one time..

Well, at least it's refreshing not to read N will take Klieman or Tang will replace Fred. We seem to be making progress on that front.

Your post is simple ad hominem, the last track of losers. I didn't start this, all I did was comment on the nonsense, like Creighton was a better job than K-State hoops. And that Dana was successful in Manhattan. And that all great coaches up and leave. And that MHK is bad place. And so on.

N fans used to be above all this trash talk back when they won all the time. I knew kids who played there. It's all very disgusting now. Goodness.

Dickey was before my time, even before Bill Snyder's, which seems impossible that State played football that long ago.

More lies from you. You started this with your not so subtle dig in your first post in the thread. What else have you lied about?

We are used to KSU fans coming to this board. They’re all equally pathetic and clearly jealous of NU as you. And you’ll lie about this too - but you wish you were in Nebraska’s position.

Anxiously awaiting your next lie.

I remember him well…

Went to a game in 1983 in Manhattan against K-State and the parking lot wasn’t even pathed at that time so we literally parked on gravel and mud because rained the night before the rain and at the start…q

we were disappointed we only won by 26 that day…

But I do remember Lynn Dickey and Mack Herron upsetting and keeping Nebraska scoreless in 12-0 win…

Nebraska assistant coach’s didn’t leave the press box till every fan left the stadium..

Bullshit. You came here specifically to make a snide remark about "Who y'alllllll gonna get to come Lincoln" to coach basketball, it blew up in your face, and now you're playing the helpless little victim card.

Sorry things didn't turn out as you planned, Mr. Calligraphy.

Loser coach leaps like Bill Snyder, Chris Klieman, Jack Hartman? LOL. Manhattan is a great college town in one of the fastest growing metro areas in the country, about to open a $2 billion federal laboratory and lots of other allied activity. K-State is coming off a championship football season and coach Tang could bring a second in hoops his first season.

Manhattan metro area in Kansas reported 38.1% population growth in the last five years, the second most among 381 U.S. metro areas with available data. The latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey shows that Manhattan's population grew to 133,932 from 97,004 in 2016.

Fastest growing "Big Cities". LOL. That's a good one.
Per wikipedia, the Manhattan MSA had a population of 127,081 in 2010. In 2021 the MSA has a population of 133,932. (309th largest in the US, just getting edged out by Bismark ND last year)
That's 5.4% in 11 years.
There is some kind of demographic slight of hand in your linked article.

Work part about losing and being as pathetic as NU has been is having to listen to KSU gloat. Might be the biggest problem with moving to the big 10...nobody in power has any pride when it comes to losing. I guarantee if we were getting boat-raced by KSU, MIssou, Colorado every year changes would have been smarter and sooner.

This is among the most pathetic things ever posted anywhere on the internet

Still not crazy about Fred returning but since he's clearly going to be back, it's good to finally see some signs of player development. Lawrence looks like he could become a big-time point guard and I'm glad to see him playing a much bigger role.

Personally I'd cut Wilcher's minutes to zero and play Grace if another guard is needed. Would also keep a big on the court as much as possible to take the burden off Walker at the defensive end. Give Kojenets a few minutes in addition to Keita.

The only way I would even consider another year if Nebraska avoids playing the first day of the B1G tournament.

Which means they have to find a way to beat Wisconsin and Minnesota at home and upset either Maryland at home or the Herky’s in Ioway City..

I still think Fred is a pretty good coach he’s had a couple things go wrong like roster retention and wanting to run the same system as he did in the big 12
