That is incorrect. A dealer is assumed to be ruthless and has done these things already without confirmation.
When these guys try to change their lives. They're not making resumes. They are filling out applications. Are you a felon: yes or no? Explain...
The magic 18th birthday when somebody instantly becomes an adult. POOF, you're an adult now.just saw that
The magic 18th birthday when somebody instantly becomes an adult. POOF, you're an adult now.
You forgot the magical 55th birthday when you get the senior discount at Golden Corral. The magic 16th birthday when somebody instantly can legally drive a car. Poof, your a driver now.
The magic 18th birthday when somebody instantly can join the military or get married without getting parental consent
The magic 21st birthday when somebody instantly becomes a legal drinker, poof, your able to buy alcohol now.
The magic 25th birthday when somebody can instantly rent a car and get a better rate than they did the day before, poof you are no longer as a big of a risk on the roads.
I get what you are saying, but there are dates like this for a million things. There will always be cutoffs, deadlines and thresholds. There is no way to individually measure the readiness of people. So you have to go with generalities.
You forgot the magical 55th birthday when you get the senior discount at Golden Corral.

Nebraska running back Maurice Washington has been charged in California with two crimes, including felony possession of child pornography, for allegedly sending a video over text message to his former girlfriend of what she says was her being sexually assaulted.
Charged and convicted are two different things, not sure you know that or not? I am not sure what more I can say other than Innocent until proven guilty. If he is guilty then have at it.
I think you are mistakingly thinking I am 100% for Maurice Washington here. That isn't the case at all, I just am the type of person that will not cast judgment until I have all the facts. So don't waste your breath coming back at me if he is guilty, because if he is "guilty" he deserves what is coming to him.
If proven true I agreeYou forgot to include the damning part of that article..
"She contacted Washington last year via Instagram to congratulate him on receiving a college scholarship. Washington responded by making sexual advances, according to the affidavit. The young woman responded that she was not interested in a romantic relationship.
On March 2, 2018, Washington sent a text message to the young woman that contained a 10-second video of her sexual encounter with two juvenile male peers, with the message, "Remember this hoe." Her stepmother intercepted the message and reported it to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office."
If this is proven to be true, the kid needs to go...immediately.
I am not a felon. Obviously both are bad. But a DUI on a resume is no better than what I explained for many jobs.
And you again are leaving out the part where she initiated the messages with "What's up stud?".You forgot to include the damning part of that article..

Context IS important. IF you're going to throw in jail every young person that transmits underage porn, we had better build more jails. And in your whacked out world that somehow gives him the permission to become aggressive and attempt to intimidate and shame her and transmit underage porn, after she shoots him down??

Again, the way he talked to her is not unusual between teenagers and young adults. It makes me sick but that's the society we live in. What you see as intimidation and shaming is in fact normal interaction between kids today. I've heard it. I've seen it first hand. So we as the "moral majority" are condemning him without the context of their reality. JMHO. I am quite sure that her step mother was horrified by the way he talked to her, but one would have to live in a bubble to not realize that kids talk that way to each every minute of every day. I just blush and have to bite my tongue when I'm at a high school football game and hear some of the conversations between boys and girls. The girls get called hoes and bitches. The girls are just as bad with their suggestive talk. Why should we expect any less when they're bombarded with sex all day long on the TV and the internet. I haven't been able to watch TV with my family for years without being uncomfortable about ads for Viagra or some other sex aid.I've already agreed with what you're saying on the underage porn. Even thought what he did was against the law, I don't find his offense to be anywhere close to an older male possessing child porn, because they were both minors when he acquired the video, and it is somewhat similar to what kids are doing across the country. If indeed it turns out that it was unconsensual, the consequences would be more serious.
I do, however, find him becoming aggressive with her and sending her the video to intimidate and shame her to be offensive and leaving respect for females in general. This is why I don't believe he belongs at our University.

Part of the issue is that as far as can be determined from the court records, they do not have the video. I'm not sure that they can even prove that he sent the video they are accusing him of sending. So does one expel a student because another kid's mom said he sent a 10 second porn video? Man that's asking for a lawsuit. I understand your concerns. I also understand what takes place every single day in our teenager's lives. Heck, it starts before they're teenagers. It was the combination of texting her a message like he did, and then sending the video along with it, is what makes it egregious. If I were a school adminstrator and something like this occurred, he would be expelled immediately.
Folks that do digital forensics are pretty good at recovering things. If however there is no evidence of the video being sent, that kind of removes the smoking gun.Part of the issue is that as far as can be determined from the court records, they do not have the video.
