Remember; Scott was at OREGON with Kelly for several years. Don't you think they didn't recruit, must know a few kids.Bullshit.
You hire someone to inject new energy into the program. That means recruiting. If a new coach can't get some movement on the recruiting front, then that's a huge warning sign you have the wrong person.
Losing recruits who committed to the previous staff doesn't really concern me, because recruiting is mostly about relationships. Not being able to generate some excitement about the direction of the program would concern me. Fortunately, Scott Frost isn't having that problem.
I'm just guessing but if we can hold that near that 3.4 and get 21 I think that will be in top 25. The key is holding the 3.4. We need to find us 4 or 5 more 4 stars. So many have been picked over. With Martinez- our Rivals average star rating is 3.4
That is about 18th best
This group is doing a great job- given the short time and limitations of the situation
They should end up in the 30- 35 area- if NU is allowed to sign 21
This would put us ahead of:
Illinois
Purdue
Minny
Northwestern
Iowa
And even Wisconsin
YEs- leading the West- even under these circumstances
With a MUCH bigger class size in 2019, a full year to recruit and positive movement/momentum on the field 6-7 wins- expect a top 20-25 class to follow next year

I'd rather just be known as NebraskaOur new coaches are going after it like they expect the players to play....and that is at 100 MPH. I don't care if these recruits have stars or not. The coaching staff knows the deal and will put a fine team on the field. Heck; we will be known as the Oregon of the Mid-west. Think about that for awhile...
To add 10-11 more- staying at 3.4 would be tough. That would mean roughly adding 4 four stars and 6 three stars and losing no one. This late in the game- that's tough, Plus SF likes those small RBs and smaller Olinemen that usually don't rate real high. Areas of need OL- and Dline- pickings are pretty slim now.
Finishing it out in the low 30s or maybe even the high 20s would be a real big accomplishment, given the equation.
