Yes but in the end ESPN will still collect the ratings/income from broadcasting the game.

Thankfully most don't think like you, Mr. Call Out Nebraska fans for cheering on another team, the shame of it. Do you not think for a minute that most Michigan fans pull for just about any team that plays Ohio State? Oh, how little brother of them even though they've owned the Bucks for 5 years now.Yeah, I know. Anyone who doesn't think like you is a troll and/or Iowa fan. Got it.
Ha. Indeed. But admit it, there is also always a deep satisfaction when Iowa loses. I would love it if Iowa went 0-12 every year. 😂
This is not entertaining. What was entertaining was the 84, 94, 95 Orange or the 03 miami vs osu or 06 rose. Or when Bama went deep over Georgia with their backup. Boise vs OU was a blast. So no, this hasn't been a blast.Expanding to 12 (and soon to 16) changed everything.
If March Madness was just the "top 4 teams" each year, nothing exciting would happen.
When they go to 16, hopefully they do it right. 4 quardrants

First round games are played at the home of the higher ranked team. This years playoff has been a blast and it will only get better (and harder) when it expands. Plus filling out that bracket that I just outlined or two 8 seeded brackets, will be amazing.
So don't watch it!This is not entertaining. What was entertaining was the 84, 94, 95 Orange or the 03 miami vs osu or 06 rose. Or when Bama went deep over Georgia with their backup. Boise vs OU was a blast. So no, this hasn't been a blast.
So ypu handpick 5 games in the last 40 years as a reason for this years playoff sucking? This is not entertaining. What was entertaining was the 84, 94, 95 Orange or the 03 miami vs osu or 06 rose. I was out of work for 8 weeks. I had the time to kill.So don't watch it!
When I don't like stuff, I don't watch it.
There are far more examples than 5. Truth is college football was way more entertaining 15 to 40 years ago than what we have today. So ypu handpick 5 games in the last 40 years as a reason for this years playoff sucking?
This years playoff has been outstanding excitement. Even though OSU / Oregon ended up being a blowout, it was magnificent to watch a team get into a groove and dominate another awesome team. A la Huskers v Gators.
Then you have 0 concept of truth as your opinion isn’t thatThere are far more examples than 5. Truth is college football was way more entertaining 15 to 40 years ago than what we have today.

ESPN should have marketed it as the Pedo Bowl. Ratings in the UK would of set recordsNotre Dame-Penn State is down from both of last season’s CFP semifinal games that aired on New Year’s Day (Michigan-Alabama at the Rose Bowl drew 27.7 million, while Washington-Texas in the Sugar Bowl drew 18.7 million). Thursday night’s game drew 16.924 million viewers on ESPN, another 733,000 on ESPN2 and 144,000 on ESPNU. The last time an Orange Bowl held a CFP semifinal was New Year’s Eve in 2021, when Georgia-Michigan drew 17.2 million in primetime on the same three networks.
