I was hoping for Penn State - Ohio State to watch the talking heads have a Chernobyl level meltdown over an all Big 10 game. But I'll take no SEC team in the title for the second consecutive year
The SEC ruled the roost for years. Since NIL came into play it has evened out . Pretty obvious why The SEC and even Clemson was where they were. Now everyone can had the bagman .

neither nd nor ohio would have been in a 4-team cfp field. it would have been oregon, uga, texas, penn state. that's why going to 12 makes even more sense than fan interest, money, and the like. a champion determined on the field rather than by committee.

The only realistic take I’ve seen on this is that now that everyone can legally pay players, southern schools don’t have the money northern schools have to be able to buy the best talent.

Except Texas. They’ll be fine.

But schools like OSU, Michigan, PSU, ND, Oregon, SC…no southern school (other than Texas) can compete with them money-wise. They will simply buy SEC recruits and stack their teams with southern talent.

Northern money>>>>>>>southern money. Always has been.

Caveat: USC has always had great talent and doesn’t need to buy southern recruits. They simply need to keep kids in their region home in the same way Carroll did. Just drive down the 405 and hit up the south coast and get all the 4 and 5 stars you need.

Riley needs to start doing that but I don’t think he’s the one.

No one here is going to disagree with you on this.

Reminder in 1971 Nebraska beat the #2, #3, #4
1995 Nebraska beat the #2, #5, #7 #9 teams in the country and none of those games in 95 were even close.

May I ask what makes you giddy women’s wrestling?

When Nebraska wins. Don’t really take pleasure in other teams’ victories. Esp teams in our conference who’ve owned us. Seems very little brother, don’t you think? Embarrassing really

But yeah, I like women’s KY wrestling too

I take pleasure in other teams losing like the whorns and your team from the east.

Yeah I get the celebrating a hated team’s loss part. Thats fair. And who’s my team from the east? ND? They’re not my team. I only picked them because they’ve wronged NU the least

When you say Nebraska fans being giddy over another teams success, it sure sounds like your not one of us..

ESPN is getting exactly what they were hoping for when they secured the CFP rights

Ohiost and ND are 2 of the largest fanbases in all of sports

Viewership for this final will be astronomical

Yep, proud alumn. You misread. Or I wasn’t clear. Just calling out my fellow Nebraska fans for celebrating Ohio State’s big win

Didn’t read through the whole thread, so may have been noted, but I don’t think anyone’s rooting for Ohio State. I think they’re rooting against the SEC and for the B1G.
