After seeing the above tweet, I spoke with Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh safety prospect Eric Burrell and he confirmed that the date of his official visit to Lincoln will be September 11 for the South Alabama home game.
Burrell said that his father will be accompanying him on his trip to NU.
The 6-foot, 185-pounder added that he also plans to take official visits to Wisconsin and to Duke but he does not have those dates solidified yet with their coaching staffs. He said those two programs are currently recruiting him the hardest.
Syracuse is a possible official visit destination depending on what happens with those first three.
When asked what he'd be looking for as he takes those trips, Burrell stated:
"Probably good coaching, good facilities and a good academic program."
I then asked him when he would like to have his college decision made and he said:
"I was shooting for the end of the season, but now I just want to do it as soon as I can to get the stress off of me."
