Elite 11 invite. 4 star TJ Lateef N

That's why you never pass on a good one. Get the best one you can get every year and let the pieces fall where they may.

I’m reading “The Leadership Secrets of Nick Saban” right now. He was/is very much a “next man up” guy. One of the top priorities, if not the top priority, every year was recruiting the best talent they could find to fit the process. No promises, no guarantees. Just hard work and an opportunity. I’m sure there’s some fluff in the book, but looking back Saban had a system and he worked it and better the players were the better the system worked.

Obviously the portal makes it much different now. But college football is much more offensive now and the QB spot is arguably more important now than ever. The urgency to sign an elite level QB in every class is higher now than ever.

3 Elite 11 QBs on the roster next year. QB room has gone from a weakness to a strength.

Absolutely..people not wanting another great QB because we THINK we already have one makes no sense whatsoever to me.

I haven’t heard anyone questioning it - but 100% agree … iron sharpens iron!
Frost had 5 years and never had anyone push/challenge Amart. Left the cupboard bare for Rhule. Purdy and Haarberg. Rhule goes "Oh shit!" and grabs the best transfer he could find. Sims turns out to be a dud. You'll notice Rhule will never be without options from here on out. He's always in recruiting mode.

It is very hard to stockpile elite talent at the QB level at any school, even elite ones, and it is even harder for a team like Nebraska which has had so many losing seasons of late. These talented young guys at QB want to be starters. They might be willing to sit on the bench for a year or even two for a chance to play on a national title contending team with deep NIL pockets. But unless Nebraska pays them a million bucks it is hard to get them to Lincoln absent a promise to be the starter. All of this just points to the power of Rhule’s personality in getting three elite QB’s to Lincoln. We all need to appreciate how difficult a task that is. Rhule has got it going.
