eBay/PayPal fraud

!!! CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS !!!

We received four total emails of order confirmations.

Both [wife & I] of our accounts were hacked via PayPal with orders on eBay, and four charges were processed [pending] on two cards. They were pretty good amounts too. After talking with eBay, they said "there's an unusual amount of security breaches this week but rest assured our security team is working on it". Weird thing is, we never store any banking or credit card information on any website but for some reason we did with PayPal. Lesson learned, accounts are removed.

Amex and Wells Fargo were great to work with, one already removed the pending charges and the other said it'd take 3-5 business days.

Keep your eyes open.

Took a cyber security classes this summer and it's definitely affected me. I'm slowly changing all my online passwords to longer and more complex passwords. Thanks for the reminder, OP.
