Dual threat or pro style quaterback

I hate a running QB who can't connect on passes (Tommy). Might as well just have a RB back there taking snaps.

I'll take a smart pocket passer everyday. One who can get the ball out fast to his receivers and running backs. People think that if you have a Pro style QB you'll get a "statue", it's not the case for every QB. Most of those guys can get the ball out quick to a short route to avoid the sack.

I'd rather not have a guy run around in the backfield, making his OL work for nothing every play, chuck it 40 yards and have incompletions or interceptions.

What about an option QB?

Three things can happen when you pass the ball and two of them aren't good, to quote Woody Hayes. With that out of the way, I prefer a QB that can read a defense and can competently make throws at all levels for the offense that Mike Riley is running. Escapability is preferred. But a guy who knows when to chuck it out of bounds and move to the next down is A-OK.
