Coaches that can recruit VS coaches that can coach... seeing a lot on the board about our players not being drafted reflecting Pelini's recruiting. Pelini had players drafted high that were Callahans recruits? Riley recruiting well but coaching hasn't been great 1st two years leading to fewer draft picks?
Now watching Michigan have 11 drafted players all recruited by Brady hoke but coached by Harbaugh. Is this result of recruiting or coaching? Which is more important for being drafted, recruiting better players or better coaching? Obviously both is best!
Just thinking out loud here... Solich could coach but couldn't recruit. Callahan could recruit but couldn't coach. Pelini could coach but couldn't recruit. Now Riley can recruit, and we will find out if he can coach??? Osborne did both!
