Down goes Creighton! GBR!

Hahaha. You entertain me with your Creighton jabs. All they do is overachieve in a state where they should be second fiddle, and it entertains me to no end watching people get all uncomfortable about it.
How do they overachieve though? For real, explain it to me.

7-11 in the last 20 years in the dance. Last 5 losses in the dance coming by an average of 15 points.

What did they do to overachieve?

This is what Jay fans do, this is why you guys HATED having expectations this year because that actually means something.

Stop pretending like they are in the MVC still. They are in a P6 conference.

Nah, it's more fun watching people try to make excuses as to why they aren't all that.

But that is the point. They are not "all that" the facts back that up.

What do they have, 1 sweet 16 appearance in program history?

There is no "falling off" because they have not done anything. Jay fans act like they are Gonzaga of the Midwest.

McDermott will get a pass for this losing streak because Kalkbrenner is out and because the media adore him. But he is doing nothing to right the ship, other than just roll the ball out and hope the threes start falling.

King has filled in really well and was the only bright spot in the Jays’ past two games. But since college basketball coaches are the most blockheaded people on Earth, King will go right back to playing 8-10 minutes per game as soon as Kalkbrenner is back. Play them together, and the world will come to an end.

Yep.

The only difference this year, like I said before, is that there were expectations. Jays fans hate that. They want to pretend they are still in the MVC and that they are the little dog.

This year they had crazy expectations and some losers thought they had two first round NBA draft picks.

Never forget they only made the sweet 16 because Virginia got COVID.

Trust me, I will never forget and I think that was the year they "lost" in the first round when that dude from that lame team got killed going to the rim in the last second but nothing was called.

LOL at the haters 😁
I'm not a hater, I'm frustrated because the Jays are playing like dog shit. And it's not going to magically get better when Kalkbrenner comes back.

I think the book is out on this team, in that opponents know they are in "threes and dunks only" mode. So the defense overplays the 3-point line, leaving huge seams that the Jays don't know how to capitalize on. And on the other end, they give up tons of offensive rebounds and second-chance points.

The other problem is that after having no depth at all last year, McDermott suddenly has too many toys in the toybox. When they finally do get some rhythm going on offense, he feels compelled to bring in subs who can't shoot the ball through a Hula Hoop. Guess what Greg - there's a reason Shereef Mitchell keeps getting wide open looks at critical moments.

It is Super weird how an Illinois fan spends so much time on a Nebraska board trying to troll Creighton fans.
I am a Husker FB fan...and I am not trolling. Just giving facts

Oh and also, I got banned from the one Illini BB site I used to post on.

Oh and I am kind of a loser too.

My post was not aimed in your direction :)

My God, are you still blubbering about that no-call against UC-Santa Barbara? That would not have been a foul in a 6th-grade basketball game, and somehow it's morphed into the guy getting "killed going to the rim"? Good Lord.

EDIT: At 9:23 in this video, you can see for yourselves how the UCSB player got "killed":

MY GOD HOW DID HE EVEN SURVIVE THIS BRUTAL ASSAULT???

Cue the tortured explanation about how this should have been a foul.

Clearly you know it was a hack job if you are still this worked up about...Good lord you even remember the team they were playing!

They aren’t. Their fans act like the are a basketball school and they have never made the elite 8. They are a nice program and that’s fine but they aren’t Kansas, Duke, Carolina, or Kentucky. This was supposed to be the year to the final 4. Maybe the final four of the NIT. Again solid program but they are even close to what their fans think they are. Listening to John Blowhard Bishop in the afternoon has been great during this streak. Roll jays right to the NIt.

“Basketball school” that hasn’t even been close to a final four. But in the last few years, Wichita state, George mason, butler three times, VCU, Loyola Chicago, Texas Tech have all made final 4s. They aren’t even “basketball schools”

You're the gasbag who keeps bringing up that play, and repeatedly bawling about it as if it was actually a bad call (which it wasn't). It's funny that someone who blowhards about "never watching Creighton" has such a Rain Man-like recall of all of their games. Are you sure you're not an obsessed Hawkeye fan?

Definitely should have been a foul. Judge
Wapner would definitely have called a foul...

I maen, they showed that hack like 50 times during the dance, it wasn't hard to miss.

You keep bringing it up, not me. We both admit it was a foul, right? Or are you saying there was zero contact?

Ha!

The best was their fans this year...thinking they might have two AA's and two lotto piicks.

Does this tired method of arguing work with 9th graders who have no choice but to listen to you - because they HAVE to? With adults, it's really just embarrassing and downright humiliating.

The salty tears of Jay fans...love it.

Now they are back to arguing if they got a good call or not in some game vs some lame team like 4 years ago.

Why are you embarrassed and humiliated? This is just a post board.
Who cares what anyone says?

It's weird. On the one hand it's not that big of a deal for a really good program to have a down year once in awhile. On the other hand, EVERYONE was saying this would be their best team ever. I know one thing, it's too early write their obituary. But 6 in a row? Holy Jesuit education system...

Like was said at the start of the season...the last thing Jay fan wants is expectations.

They were so terribly bad in the non-con, because they actually played some teams, that they have almost no wiggle room now. Any loss they get now is a conference loss...6 more losses, which would all be in conference and they will be in the NIT or CBI.
