With the building of the East side of the stadium, does the Athletic Department still have any long term debt? If so, when will it be paid off? Is there any other long term debt?

I remember someone from UNL saying they are done building, like money was short, but then they upgraded the screens and become full members this year. I suspect the south stadium is being eyeballed at this juncture.
Especially if the Big signs a insane contract. I would like to see the south be like a horseshoe to retain sound and make the students feel comfortable to yell as much as possible.

and while they are doing that they could refurbish the sign that was forever on the west side and now sits in a barn. and hang that on the south side. Nebraska allways finished in the top ten when that was up.

You should join RSS and read the story written by Steve Rosen. It will tell you everything you need to know.

You mean other than every sport other than football & volleyball?

south end zone should redone. I mean torn down and start over. Tie into existing east/west stadiums a lot better.

If I was Nebraska I'd be real cautious about starting any high cost projects right now. My gut feeling says this country is on the verge of a recession. Guess we'll see in a couple of months.

We have 3-5 years before a recession hits, but one is coming. From what I can tell the economy is on the upswing at the moment.

Again, just my gut feeling. Dow & S & P have been plateaued for awhile now, personal credit debt is back at 2007 levels, auto sales are declining, and we have another debt ceiling coming up during a period of a deeply divided congress & a president whose influence is currently under question. Doesn't feel like a good situation to me. I hope I am & really want to be wrong.

A potential recession doesn't have any baring on Nebraska's share of Big Ten TV revenue which is set in stone for years to come.

The Dow and S&P have been plateaued for a while? They where recently at record highs and have been climbing steadily for a year at least. While I have a hard time seeing the growth continue they have hardly plateaued.

Good question about athletic department debt. Though I have not seen the books -- though I'd like to -- I've been told repeatedly that NU's athletic program is debt-free. The latest confirmation of that came in a comment earlier this week from a member of the department's media relations team.
Don't know about the university system, however.
