Mike Riley and staff have worked in an exceptionally well organized fashion in recruiting, have worked long hours, have built great relationships with prospects, and have put in a ton of hard work. Unfortunately, all this effort seems to yield are classes like Pelini's who, by the way, did a fraction of what Riley has done in recruiting effort. What this says to me is NU needs to re-evaluate who they are pursuing. One area of potential gold is in the JUCO ranks. I really believe Riley has to start seeing that area as a source of talent that could make up for the yearly loss of 4-5 star high school players. It really appears to me that MR has to look at who are realistic high talent players and change focus from kids, like those in yesterday's all star game, that say NU is a great place to visit, but we do not want to live there. I think Einstein's definition of insanity applies here: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
