Do you wish the Oklahoma game was still scheduled each year?

Was just wondering what the general consensus is regarding the traditional game with Oklahoma. Do you wish the game would return each Thanksgiving week or are you fine that the series ended?

(Sorry if this has been discussed to death previously. I looked forward to that game each year and was just interested to see what Nebraska fans thought).

Yes, yes, and a 1000 times yes.

Personally I'm glad Nebraska hasn't been plying them every year. They'd kick our ass.

I don't necessarily miss Oklahoma, but I do miss the proximity of the Big Eight schools. I went about a decade not missing a game in Ames, Lawrence, Manhattan, or Columbia. It was nice to be able to see so many road games.

Oklahoma was a good rivalry, but let's face it, we were never higher than third on their list. Texas would always be #1, because of the neutral-site game, and the impact on recruiting. Okie State would be #2 as an in-state rivalry. As we saw when the Big XII was formed, Oklahoma just never cared that much.

If the Big Ten could add any school, I would take Notre Dame over Oklahoma or Texas a million times over. They fit the location, history, and culture of the Big Ten way more than the southern schools.

Would I be fine if Nebraska and Oklahoma found a way to play an annual game, or scheduled more frequent non-conference series? Sure.

100% wrong on Oklahoma. I have lived here for 25 years and OSU was never seen as a rival. Texas was a hatred game but rarely have the teams been really good at the same time. The players cared more about OU/TX because so many OU players are from Texas but in my experience that doesn't translate to the fans.

I quit caring about OU the exact moment that they didn't care about playing us every year. There is no rivalry when one team does not care if they play.
