Very encouraged with all the reviews so far, maybe it doesn't totally suck, as I had feared.

Talking about the one that premiered last night of course.......talking to nobody in particular......4.6.9.3.5

I saw it last night with my wife and 2 kids, we all loved it! 9.5 out of 10. We saw it in 3D and plan to see again in near future on regular screen.

I went yesterday and it was Mediocre at best...No creativity at all. Complete rip off of first few episodes. Don't believe the hype.

Also, i have a question... at what age does it go from OK to down right creepy to get decked out in Star Wars gear? I saw a 50 year old dude sporting a full on Jedi costume at the theater. Not sure his parents were aware that he had left the basement for the movie premier.

The same age for no longer wearing a team jersey when you are not on the team...so like 13

I think people are looking for too much when they say its mediocre. It's a piece of a puzzle with some untold story lines. Those should be filled in the next film. I focused on story, acting and the overall direction of the film which was pretty damn good. Yeah it may leave you wanting more but so did the "Empire Strikes Back" and "The Fellowship of the Rings"...

I just saw the movie...I would give it a 4 out of 5. I can't be more specific without giving away parts of the movie. Winking

It was good. Got nostalgic when some of the originals first appear. I did feel that I had seen this movie before about 38 years ago. The story is the same - names have been changed to protect the innocent. The betting man in me says the next one will be (but not titled) The Empire Strikes Back Part 2.

Felt the same way. Didn't really feel there was a lot of "new" to this movie but it was still pretty good.

History does have a way of repeating itself. I think that is the angle they're trying to forward instead of the writers being lazy. There are major differences that change the whole dynamic of the new characters and story. Pretty good movie.

Took my kids to the Samford game tonight. Younger son wasn't happy because he could have gone to see Star Wars with some friends. Kind of wish we'd all have gone there instead. Eek

This trilogy will be about Anakin's grandchildren. O just dropped a major hint there, if you have seen the movie.

I'm already looking forward to "Rogue One" Star Wars Anthology on 12/16/2016

I heard Disney bought starwars for 4 billion and in a year it was worth 8 billion.

We're planning on seeing it this week, but I still don't have very high expectations to be honest. All of the "new" ones have sucked so bad, at this point I am just expecting this one to suck maybe just a little less, but still suck.

It is a good movie but I felt like I had seen this movie before except this movie had some new characters.

Well as bad as the new ones have been, what you're describing would at least be an improvement anyway. Like I said before, it's going to get my money, I think if you grew up with these movies you pretty much have to go see it.

It kind of pissed me off, honestly.

Not as good as the original three (ep 4-6) but WAY better than the next three (ep 1-3) IMO.

No Hayden Christensen so that alone makes it watchable.

I was more than happy to get swept into the nostalgia of my youth and enjoyed the hell out of this movie. Can't wait to go see it again.

As long as it includes Jar Jar Binks being drawn and quartered via attachment to Imperial Walkers, I'm in. Please tell me he is somehow murdered in this episode..

I could say that Jar Jar Binks was the lead character in the movie. Winking

Again, I am glad that I saw it with my nephews. Have fun and get a big bag of popcorn. Winking

it's pretty good. I would say well done for a transition movie.(from old school to new school).
10 year old loved it. 5 year old thought to much talking?

Anyone see it in IMAX 3D? Already saw it once in a normal theatre but going back to see it Thursday at IMAX

each time I saw Kylo Ren, I saw Phil with his crown getting stoned in temple

I thought it was better than the stupid Ewok Jedi movie. Lucas was well on his way to destroying his legacy with that trash. Adam Driver showed that blubbering dude in the prequels what real dramatic acting was. Much like the Mad Max reboot, this movie excites me for the future movies to come.

"The force is strong with this one" good acting across the board.. Not overly goofy i.e Jar Jar/ Ewok mess.. Story complex and unfulfilled which should make the next one very intriguing.. Not to much CGI and feels real.

It was good the first watch but even better the second time..

Like someone above said, better than the prequls, but not better than the original 3. The storyline left me a little flat vs the 1st and 2nd movie. But at least it wasn't overly cutesy like the 3rd one.

I was thankful that they used minimal CGI. Done very similar to the original 3 in that regard, which is a very good thing.

More than anything, when I looked at Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, it reminded me of how quickly times passes by. It made me a little nostalgic for not only the earlier movies, but my earlier years as well. The dialogue and acting were standard fare for a Star Wars flick.

Carrie Fisher sounds like 40 years of heavy smoking - that voice was hard to listen to.

Incredibly average show I had seen before. I never felt the urge to walk out, but I was never engrossed like the original equipment Star Wars movies either. Good thing Han Solo was there, that by itself made it tolerable.
