In short he let it be known he does not appreciate the tabloid media taking shots at him. What are your thoughts? I appreciate all comments.
I agree litespeed. We have bigger issues than who gives a interview after a win.Didn't hear it, and don't care much what was said, but will say I care about what I see on the field next Saturday
The sports media in this state is a joke. Hacks who try to outdo each other through tabloid article s and soul selling.People complain about "coach speak". People complain when "being too real with reporters". People complain about "Not talking at all". I swear it's like a Dr. Suess book with the media/some people on this board.
I think Diaco agrees.I agree litespeed. We have bigger issues than who gives a interview after a win.Didn't hear it, and don't care much what was said, but will say I care about what I see on the field next Saturday

I would be pissed if I were him.
He took a lot of heat for not doing a pressor after the game.
He was told SPECIFICALLY (his words) he would not have post game media responsibilities.
Whoever told him that should own up as it caused Diaco a lot of grief
It's sounds like there was no miscommunication, in fact, Diaco states things were communicated very clearly that he wouldn't be doing post game media.
The media should be criticizing whomever it was who told him he didn't have post game media responsibilities. I can't believe a reporter didn't ask him who told him that.
We do, but the media doesn't, apparently.I agree litespeed. We have bigger issues than who gives a interview after a win.
They expect everyone they cover to act like grown adults, but as soon as someone says or does something they don't like, bunch of children. The media is always like this. How you talk to them is always more important than anything else. And if you offend one, they all rally together and never let it go.
After they didn't have Bo and Beck to kick around they spent a couple years sharpening their knives, then went after Diaco. Unfortunately, they went after someone who won't play their game. They expect everyone they cover to act like grown adults, but as soon as someone says or does something they don't like, bunch of children.
indeed. seems much about nothing#FAKENEWS

Lee Barfnecht blocked me on Twitter last Thursday and I didn't cuss at him or question his manhood. What a hypocrit
I think it would be a good idea if just Coach Riley spoke to the media after games. Let the coordinators speak after they have seen film, etc.
Same principle, I guess. I wouldn't see anything wrong with having the single voice of the head coach after the game, with everyone else speaking a day or two later. This is thinking in terms or running the organization, of course, as as a fan I wouldn't love it.Should players not speak to media after games either?
This is so true. The media is always like this. How you talk to them is always more important than anything else. And if you offend one, they all rally together and never let it go.
Join the club. He is a lying, nutless cowardLee Barfnecht blocked me on Twitter last Thursday and I didn't cuss at him or question his manhood. What a hypocrit
I had not heard that until Lee B's article. But who knows. So someone in the SID office dropped the ball, failing to communicate to Diaco that coordinators should be available to the media after the game. Fair enough.
But did Diaco really walk past reporters after the came, and when they asked to speak with him he said "No Comment"? Of is that just creative license by Barfknect?
I hadn't read Barf's article until now. If anyone else missed it.

I think the miscommunication was between Nebraska and the media, not between Riley and Diaco.
