Breaking on the other site. Solid tackler, not always in coverage. Still a welcome body back for the defense and should continue to improve and start at safety!

He's been here forever. He was a difference maker in 2003 before his injury
He's been here forever.
Yes he’s had 3 years playing, redshirt year, covid year and 19 years of medical hardship granted !! Last recruit from Frank Solich. He's been here forever.
He's been here forever.
had he entered the portal? If so I'm surprised they let him come back. He might not end up being a starter but his experience would be really nice to have on the bench if nothing else.Jesus…move on.
Damn. I'll never get used to these new rules and how long these guys stick around the program. He was a difference maker in 2003 before his injury.

I agree. Take Caleb Benning for instance. At what point, does this kid actually get an actual shot at playing time? This is one of many examples where Nebraska football gets in its own way. The pressure to win now forces coaches into a short term decision making mindset. Put experience ahead of speed and potential. Play it safe.We need to see what we have at some of these positions
Bird in the hand <<<
The staff obviously approved him coming back with the pending 105 roster limits. They see value in him as a player and person within the football program/current culture.
I will trust the staff and say…welcome back DeShon.
Yeah, well, if we just all blindly trusted the staff, we wouldn't have much to talk about, would we?
Benning played in the bowl game. He’ll be ready for heavy service this fallI agree. Take Caleb Benning for instance. At what point, does this kid actually get an actual shot at playing time? I mean, hopefully not all that much. Unless he has just gotten way way way better.I agree. Take Caleb Benning for instance. At what point, does this kid actually get an actual shot at playing time? Isn't that what most kids are supposed to do? Get down to focusing on one sport. Mature physically. See quick gains once they get into the nutrition and athletic development program?I mean, hopefully not all that much. Unless he has just gotten way way way better.
Until proven otherwise, yes.Sooo does that mean we still have problems in the backfield on d
Careful. Some don’t like it when you say “trust the staff”The staff obviously approved him coming back with the pending 105 roster limits. They see value in him as a player and person within the football program/current culture.

Yes, we all know that you don't like Rhule. My point is that the endless stream of choking with the game on the line and general tomfoolery against decent competition that has plagued the program has been caused by multiple sources including the culture surrounding the team. Hopefully all of that will change in time. There’s no pressure to win now.
People are very very pleased with the progress (7-6, three new coordinators).
Everyone will be ecstatic with another 6- or 7-win regular season in 2025, and there’s always “next year”.
@Dean Pope see what I mean? The staff obviously approved him coming back with the pending 105 roster limits. They see value in him as a player and person within the football program/current culture.

Yeah I thought that was a typo at first. That guy has seen a lot in his time here.Damn. I'll never get used to these new rules and how long these guys stick around the program.
Ha! This is the first somewhat clever post I’ve ever seen you make. You have a dick in your hand and two in your bush, fembot.
It’s really just a slightly different style than I usually go with. More simplistic, but thanks!Ha! This is the first somewhat clever post I’ve ever seen you make.
Nice job!
“Good tackler”
I see someone is jumping to conclusions early on a Saturday morning.
Did I make one comment about what other fans should/shouldn’t think? Did I say that I blindly trust the staff on every decision.
I hope everyone has a great weekend but I can’t assume you/they will.
