I see the backup QB looking like this, if we need to hold onto a game late, HH is the guy.
If it’s a long term injury, it’s Purdy.
HH is hard to deal with mid-game. He’s a big dude and a great runner. Which is hard to adjust to without a bunch of prep.
Purdy is a better passer and can do more all around. Easier to build a full game offensive plan around.

Rhule spelled it out. Down 2 scores and Purdy is it. Flip it for HH. No idea with a tie.
He's looked very explosive in the shots I've seen. He's added weight but due to his size he's better as an rotational piece to keep him from getting beat up. I think he and Prince will have similar roles this season. Shocker is no Juedy but I'm sure he'll play a lot

At many of the spots who is listed 2nd or 3rd may not matter much. They’ve said they’re planning to play a lot of people.

therein lies the danger of headline reading
he never said "if we're up it's Haarberg"
he said Haarberg is more of a dual threat & if we're in a situation where we want to run the ball he's the guy. many with their own agendas put the "if we're up" words in his mouth.
he did say if we're down by 2+ scores they'll put purdy in.

Maybe you guys already touched on this, but they said with the OR spots, its alphabetical order. Choose to believe it or not, but that is what they are saying. So, its not HH over Purdy. Its just that H comes before P. Same with Tight End, etc.
Funny thing is I don’t see a 1 or 2 in front of anybody’s name on the actual depth chart. Who plays at TE for instance I expect to be situational. We could come out in a 2 TE set first series at MN.
I expect Boerkircher to out-snap Fidone by a fairly significant margin over the course of the season

Different skill set IMO. Boerkircher I believe is a better run blocker. IF we’re committed to running the ball I would expect Boerkircher to maybe get more snaps. I expect to see a lot of 2 TE sets
if we're not committed to running the ball, everything Rhule has said since day 1 of taking this job has been a lie.
I think the versatility of Fidone and Bonner is going to be a big key for us. I believe they will both line up all over the field, to help hide our lack of depth at WR.
Understand that feeling as well. The youngest guys I want to think set up better for the system the staff wants to run.
Get to a bowl and I'm satisfied with this season. That's the first step.
I think he’s the #6 d lineman and one of the other 4 would likely line up there if Ty was out.
What I see when I look over this depth chart is talent. My biggest concern is defensive tackle which I still think is the biggest liability on this team. Polar Bear and Robinson are big guys but they have never been dominant defensive tackles that are total studs. They both get out leveraged quite a bit and more than you would like to see. But that is all in the past, right? There is also a lack of depth at the position. But I see a ton of youth and talent on this team. So if the defensive line plays beyond what I expect we could be a really good team this year by mid season.
If Sims goes down we are ****ed. Nobody can convince me that Purdy or HH are P5 players. But this year is about turning things around, flipping the culture and the narrative of losing, and thus building for the future. And this roster screams out "future good team". We need to stay healthy at QB and play better on the defensive line than in the recent past.
