I think you missed my point you don’t want 2/3s of your WRs targets undersized. One is ok. Two is too much. Don’t care what kind of route runners they are. They are both undersized. It’s been said many times by many coaches about size in the BIG @ WR. Little Guys get beat up in the B1G.
But yes, Lloyds always needed help in route running. Hence why he wasn’t heavily recruited. His HS game was out run the coverage and QB chuck it up to you. Then if course he never had a real WR coach in Lincoln to teach him. I think he will be fine under the new coach.
I get it and for the most part I would agree. After the two portal guys I don't think it's a scenario where we would see 2/3 being smaller guys. But I guess I would've told you I'd rather have 2/3 smaller guys who were legit players vs playing 2/3 bigger guys even if one of them couldn't play dead in a western movie lol.
All things being equal for sure you want your WRs to have at least average size. I guess I'd play a little guy who could actually play over a big bigger guy who was JAG regardless. Could be the wrong choice but I think I'd do it.
