Deion Sanders on CSU: "They messed around and made it personal"

The Rock Eye Roll GIF by WWE

Oh boy. Here we go... Anyways, Nebraska plays N. ILLINOIS this week.

Dion is the 21st century PT Barnum. As long as you talk about him, he can spinet either positive if he needs to make it that way to look good or he can spinet negative so he can make himself look good. In terms of his on field football ability he was truly one of the elite of the elite in the NFL. In terms of his ability to be a showman, and a marketing genius he is that as well. The things that he does however, for people that watch and actually pay attention just come across as insincere, and is sweet and sappy at best as good old fashion, extra sweet, southern iced tea.

If I played for him, this would be a ****ing blast.

If you played sports it was always more fun when you were playing a team and there was some juice behind it.

They were your cross town rival, they beat you the year before, a friend went to that school, they talked trash, one of the guys on the other team was dating the girl you liked but she didn't know you were even alive because you were a total dork with a tiny dong.

I mean, the reason doesn't matter but it makes it more fun.

You must have actually played sports.

This dude reminds me of my students. He lives in a world where he believes no one actually pays attention to the bullshit he says on a daily basis. The difference is that I call my students out on their bullshit, but here the media is so far up his ass that they won't even ask him about the things he and his son said last week, or the week before.

With Colorado each week is going to be about it being ‘personal’ and Deion ‘keeping receipts’. I guess our players stood on the painted Buffalo at the 50 yard line and our punter kicked a ball that almost landed on a CU assistant coach. These are just some of the things that made the game personal for CU. The drama within their program is the equivalent of a reality show like Real Housewives of Orange County.

It will be interesting to see how Deion and his sons will find a way to make every game on the schedule "personal".
It's what good coaches do. Its amazing how you can motivate a young man who believes in you, to run through a wall without hesitation. Deion has made the "its personal" thing his ammunition to trigger his teams playing with an edge.

Rhule might need to take some notes. Not sure what we are doing, but Nebraska hasn't played with an edge since 2009.
