Deion had the right idea

Only because of the crappy conference they play in and his kid as QB. Deion wouldn’t have lasted at NU. Hell they anted him gone in Boulder last year. They’ll get embarrassed in the playoff.
Not going to argue crappy conference. But at the moment, with the current CFP setup, it’s arguably better to be in a crappy B12 with an auto bid.

You are wrong about wanting Deion gone from Boulder last year. He was bringing money, exposure, donations and applications. And he still had Shedeur and Hunter for this year. And now he is winning too and getting the best publicity.

And it won’t matter in any way if they get embarrassed in the CFP. But they might hang in there because they believe in themselves. And Shedeur and Hunter are that good, especially together.

So, you need him to essentially finish in the top 8 in the nation, 2 years after taking over the worst program in college football for you to acknowledge that he's done a good job? Lmfao yeah, that most certainly answers the question
Yes, or he could join a tougher conference and win there which goes back to my original point.

We were lucky to catch them early. They'd beat us by 3 TD's now. But they are definitely in a weaker conference.

They are they same team they were last year and when we played them early. USC and Ohio State don’t beat us by 3 TD’s, but sure CU would. Come on.

Why didnt Matt Rhule hire him?
Bienemy was never in play as an OC the first time and i doubt he would have come to NU even IF Rhule thought he had to replace Satt after last season. Bienemy is an interesting guy who I don’t think would have worked at NU. I’ve heard he’s not a very good guy to work with.

The Big 12 like any other conference doesn’t get an Automatic bid in the playoffs .

The actual scoreboard.

Series Tied 1-1

Colorado has outscored Nebraska 46-42

Rhule 2023: 5-7
Rhule 2024: 5-5

Deion 2023: 4-8
Deion 2024: 8-2

Rhule has Nebraska competing for 6 wins and to get a 3rd season.

Deion has Colorado competing for a Conference Championship and CFP appearance.
I think you need to see what Deion does after this season if he sticks around. If he gets a 5 star qb it most likely will continue, if not it could quickly fall back to the mean.

His whole experiment is going to change football one way or another. Same with Cig at Indiana.

Cig is legitimate, Deion has more to prove as a coach before I sing his praise.

It's rumored that 5* QB Julian Lewis is flipping to Colorado after decommitted from USC this afternoon.

Indiana has played 7 of the 8 worst teams in the B1G

they've played 0 of the top 7 teams in the B1G

I hope the trouncing they're set to receive this weekend keeps them out of the playoff at 11-1

because it should
By the same logic, other than a 3 pt loss to Oregon, exactly who has Boise State played?
They are projected to be in the playoffs if they win out.

they'll be in as an automatic qualifier, not an at-large bid
I'll be honest, I'll worry about the playoffs when they get here.

What happens IF IND beats OSU and then Purdue, do they play ORE for the BIG title, and if so would that make a 10-2 OSU a shoo-in for the playoffs?

I would assume OSU in a real close loss to IND in that scenario and then beating MICH they would still be ranked in the Top 12 or so?

What if IND, rated #5 loses a 3 pt game on the road to OSU and then beats PUR to finish 11-1 does that mean they aren't good enough to be included in the playoffs? In that scenario, they wouldn't drop that far in the rankings.

I'm just asking cause I don't follow the playoff structure.

**edited**

What if BYU loses again for their 2nd conference loss and CU is upset to also have 2 conf losses and they don't play each other, do they have a Championship game in the Big 12 between those two or do they just take the higher ranked co-conference champion?

All great scenarios

I can’t wait for the playoff

Pertaining to the 5 star QB going to CU, who will he be throwing to? All of their best receivers are either SR this year or will likely go pro. It may end up looking a lot like what the Huskers look like this year.

Also, don’t assume Colorado will beat Kansas this weekend. Kansas has been on a roll lately. They should’ve beaten K-State and have beaten both BYU and ISU.

He will step into a better environment. They have an offensive identity, and it is clicking.

Almost every skill player on this year's CU team will be gone. If he does end up the starting QB at CU next year, it will be on an entirely different offense.

They do lose their top 4 WRs. Deion will probably get another Jimmy Horn type of player through the portal.

former NU commit Omarion Miller already gets a bunch of run there

will be interesting to see how this commitment impacts their recruiting overall

I'm afraid the "joke" will once again be on us as we watch his team compete for a conference title and playoff birth from the comfort of our couches

when was the last time a coach developed 2 Heisman finalists in the same season?

Recruited. Not developed. Just to be clear.

And his team will be hot garbage next season without them. Literally hot garbage.

Deion didn't develop his son, whom he's coached his entire life?

Travis Hunter was a ready-made Heisman favorite when he committed to Deion at the HBCU?

okay.

as for next year, that's a popular refrain. heard the same thing about them this year, too. we will see.

If Deion is there next year. Stephan A . Thinks Jerry is going to hire him in Dallas.

Seems to be a lot of talk of that. Although, I'm not sure it's not all coming from Michael Irvin just wishful thinking. Once you get past the fact that Deion's a coach and a former Cowboy, the logistics don't really make a lot of sense. Like the fact that they'll owe Dak Prescott, who they just signed, like $100M and he's got a no trade clause. And then there's the fact that there's virtually zero way they could guarantee Deion that they can get Sheduer or Hunter by the time he'd have to take the job and most people seem to think it would need to be some form of a package deal with at least one of them for Deion to want to do it. That said, I wouldn't put anything past the promotional workings of Jones/Sanders.

Uh...
1 - Drelon Miller - Highly regarded Freshman WR who just had a breakout game against Utah. Compares favorably to a young LaViska Shenault. Has started at RB and WR for CU. Just figuring it out but will be a big-time player for CU.
2 - Omarion Miller - Sophomore WR, averages like 21.5 yards per catch. Big play WR who will no longer have to wait his turn. Injured on the season or would be having a big year.
3 - Cordale Russell - Freshman WR, former 4*/top 50 (ESPN/On3) who was injured early on and will miss the season. Supposed to be back in December but not expected to play this year. Has displayed big time talent in his short time on the practice field.

Those 3 are expected to be the best set of WRs we've had since Westbrook, Johnson, and Carruth were running all over the field in the 90's. The potential is there and not hard to attract the top rated QB when you have that on the roster. Had all 3 been healthy, they would have made a lot more noise this year.

Others:
Kam Mikell - Freshman, Highly rated WR that is redshirting this year.
Terrell Timmons - So., has played in place of Horn after his injury. Getting his feet wet. Time will tell.
Jordan Onovughe - Freshman, highly rated WR that plays sparingly this year.
Asaad Waseem - Freshman, hugely productive high school career. Special teams player this year.

Several highly rated recruits likely coming this cycle when signing day or whatever it is called now happens. I wasn't sure before, but after Juju's commit and their chatter on social media, I'm guessing they will sign (or send in financial aid papers or whatever they do now). I think WR will be the strongest position on the roster next year and maybe the strongest in the country when the dust settles. It will certainly be top 10 at a minimum.
