Deion had the right idea

Which is the team do you classify as "good"? And what does a "very good" or "great" team look like in your world?
OSU is loaded with NFL players.

NU has played Illinois who sucks. PU who might be the worst team in the country. A lame USC team, a super lame UCLA team and a horrible Rutgers team.

Indiana is having a great year but it is not like they are filled with NFL first rounders.

There's nothing really left to say. The program is a complete joke, the official big 10 twitter account taunts us, that's what the conference thinks of us. The entire thing...our program, our involvement in this conference, our place in the national scene is a complete and utter failure. It's a failure from top to bottom involving every single person in the AD. There is no way to fix it without a full purge of every single person. I mean the adults, the players, the janitorial staff, etc. Any person that could possibly speak to how things were (i.e. "we've never done it that way before") needs to be removed. There is no other way, the only person that can handle this is the head of the university system. It has to be done to save things, and it'll look bad but you have to cut the cancer out. It's metastatic to the rest of the AD and has to be stopped. We can't even get a little bias in volleyball commentary, which we've rightly earned. The football team has infected how the media treats other sports. People have no idea what's about to happen as the landscape gets rearranged to the big programs and everyone else goes D3. It will be a disaster for Nebraska and will destroy livelihoods around the state. This isn't an overstatement but the braintrust on here will act like it's crazy talk, it is not.

“Illinois who sucks”, is better than anyone Colorado has played all year.

You must be talking about Ohio State University – they are loaded with NFL players. Oklahoma State is 16th in the big 12-that that is even possible is a sign of the times. They suck.

Indiana is undefeated and ranked in the top five. I would say that they are at least "good".

Well, NU has only played OSU. The rest of the Big Ten teams they have played have been kind of lame. I know we are acting like IU is the best team in the world but I think we need to hold off crowning them.
yep

Will he really stick around? Has he ever coached a team his son wasn’t on, or has it just been daddy ball his whole career?
He would jump to Florida St. or Florida in a heartbeat. But those jobs probably won't open up. Where else would he want to go?

When Deion has a losing season next year what will you guys say?
They will just pretend they didn't say that. The same way most of the people thought Rhule was the second coming until recently.

Deion has done 1 thing great and that's marketing Deion. The rest is either a result of that or brushed over because if it.

I just don’t see Deion coaching college when his kid is in the NFL.

It will be interesting because it’s basically been daddy ball, and now the kids are gone. Does he really want to keep on with that coaching grind or use his celebrity for something else?

I’ve always thought he would try to parlay this CU gig into something else once Hunter and his kids are gone, but no idea what that is.

Curious what he has to do, in your opinion, to give him credit? Not really directed at you specifically, but everyone in the anti-Deion crowd. Win the conference? Win a playoff game? Finish the year rated? You guys all keep moving the goal posts and creating these yeah but, what if, hypothetical reasons to try to discredit him. Meanwhile, most of the college football world is showing him a lot of respect and giving him a ton of credit for what he's done with the worst program in the country in less than 2 years. Just doesn't really seem to compute. So, serious question. What will it take? Or is the answer honestly nothing because you just don't like him?

That has been the prevailing thought since he joined CU. There’s some talk about Jerry Jones hiring Deion and doing what it takes to get Shedeur.

If he wants to coach college football because he thinks he has the keys to success, I could see him getting an SEC offer.

The only thing about him coaching in college if his kid plays in the NFL
he won’t be able to watch him live.Sunday is not an off day in college you have players coming in to be checked you have recruits to touch base with some coaches have film and meeting. No AD is going to let the HC miss that weekly.

FSU in the ACC would be a much better fit. He could recruit better talent and play a soft schedule, kind of like what he has going this year at CU. He won’t have those advantages in the SEC.

Puffs SOS- 74 Nebraska SOS - 14

Interesting Indiana SOS is 107 lowest among P4 next up is CU as easiest among P4. Indiana remaining SOS is 4 and CU is 37....

Current records
NDSU FCS
@Neb 5-5 LOSS
CSU 7-3 also playing a softest schedule in the MWC LoL
Baylor 6-4
@UCF 4-6
Kstate 7-3 LOSS
@zona 4-6
Cincy 5-5
@Tech 6-4
Utah 4-6
@KU 4-6
OSU 3-7

55-55 combined record

They are a more talented team winning games against overmatched opponents in a super weak conference. Last year, they played a very tough schedule, that’s the difference.

Strength of schedule can be a skewed stat. Nebraska is being propped up by two Top 5 teams that we lost to. We are not a better team simply because we lost to two great teams. We would have lost to average teams as well.

True. We are better, because we kicked their ass. But they have a decent record because of their weak schedule.

The guy made Sat look competent. That should be enough to tell you he isn't the thing they say he is.

The actual scoreboard.

Series Tied 1-1

Colorado has outscored Nebraska 46-42

Rhule 2023: 5-7
Rhule 2024: 5-5

Deion 2023: 4-8
Deion 2024: 8-2

Rhule has Nebraska competing for 6 wins and to get a 3rd season.

Deion has Colorado competing for a Conference Championship and CFP appearance.
The Little 12 conference sucks! The team that shows up with a pulse wins! If Colorado played same teams as we have, they may have 2 wins..

I will eat my words if he wins a playoff game.

Does that answer the question?

So, you need him to essentially finish in the top 8 in the nation, 2 years after taking over the worst program in college football for you to acknowledge that he's done a good job? Lmfao yeah, that most certainly answers the question

Had the same duo last year. Then changed the OC and DC. And swapped out his OL. And now they have a wide path to the CFP #4 seed.
Only because of the crappy conference they play in and his kid as QB. Deion wouldn’t have lasted at NU. Hell they anted him gone in Boulder last year. They’ll get embarrassed in the playoff.

They have had a weird season, having no home games and all. A couple disappointing losses early, but they are solid.
KU is coming around. They could beat CU.

But looking at CU in the standings and remaining schedule of contenders, CU would likely make the championship game even if they split their last 2. And one of those 2 is an OSU team that is 0-7 in B12 play.

I haven’t paid much attention to the Big 12, because why would anyone. But it looks like a potential log jam at the top. If CU loses to KU and ASU beats BYU, they could have a 4-way tie atop the standings.
