I get he is trying to not play tendencies, but Langs is just too smart for his own good. Doesnt help to have an oline that flat out sucks at this point.
What makes this even more pathetic is that Ross Els is out coaching our offense. If we lose again to these guys this year some heads need to roll
Well according to at least one expert on this board, we have a top notch OC.
I am presently too upset, and 5 beers into an early afternoon to have anything other than an opinion I may regret later. Very disheartening.

The other problem is that the Purdue coach gave a rousing speech that had everybody in tears, or chills, telling them that they should believe in themselves. Hard to overcome a moment like that.
Really playing uninspired ball at this point. Just sort of jogging around hoping Purdue sucks as badly as advertised. Turns out a Power Five team can be competitive if you let them, no matter what people say.

Harsh reality coming the next two weeks. Nebraska has played tough minded football so far this year, but too many injuries and not enough quality in starters or backups has shown itself most of the year. Sure, 6-0 is great, but this team is nowhere near and should never be voted up to #8, that still baffles me. The next two weeks are going to be harsh but expected. Just hope they can rally and win today, it's going to take the best effort of the year so far to beat Purdue today.

Our OL is atrocious. Utter gets dominated dang near every time someone is over him. Knevel wears ice skates. This unit is bad.

We are getting zero push from our line. We behind schedule on yardage and we cant make that up.
I think the Coaches came in overly cocky, which spread to the players. Come in, get ahead fast and rest the starters. Unfortunately Purdue came in with a YOLO, lets just have fun and are now playing catch. As dissapointing as Langsdorfs calling, the secondary started out worse.
This is what happens when you base your offense on what their defense does. It takes you out of your own game plan.
Let me ask you this since you think I'm so wrong, is Nebraska the 8th best team in the country? I can name at least 15 that would beat them today. And you will see the next two weeks why they are not the #8 team. Top 25, yeah, I think they're that, not #8.

It was brought up as evidence this team may be better than people think. Not only the point spread but the talking heads too, not to mention people in this very fan base as well. Everyone keeps doubting Nebraska, and saying we'll lose, and so far thought 6 games they're wrong.
So funny. I thought Nebraska would beat Oregon but knew it would be difficult, and I've said that about all the other games as well. Nebraska certainly is better this year over last, but they are not the 8th best team in the country, and that's my point! Check back in a few weeks and we'll cover more of this conversation.

So funny, I'm enjoying it quite well myself. Not upset at all that they are 6-0, heading to 7-0. You just can't seem to accept the fact that this team, while improved over last year, is not the 8th best team in the country. Now, if Nebraska wins the next two weeks after today, I will gladly eat a lot of crow and declare them to be that and then some.
