Dayton v Nebraska thread [ESPN U]

easy to be hot when you get layups and bunnies.....then a crappy shot by Webster falling away just inside the 3 line.
Don't want to jinx it but with a win over Dayton and setting up a meeting vs UCLA and another quality team for the third game will do wonders for our SOS and RPI win or lose.

NU up 22-16 at 9:16 mark. Dayton hits 2 threes in a row and NU calls a TO.

Only taken three 3s tken with 4:39 left and still up. Good sign. Too many offensive rebounds given up early.

Dayton with a TO under 2 minutes up 37-29. Gill hitting his outside shots and has two threes. Tai is playing good too. Morrow with a sweet tip dunk. Taylor needs to quit shooting.

Turner has to go up stronger on the drive. His size creates issues, gotta capitalize on it.

Dayton was in the teens for a shooting % for awhile. Up to about 26%. They were bad to start but that % will likely keep going up. Hope they can keep Dayton at about 25% from 3s.

I love that Nebraska established the inside then let the 3s come in the flow of the offense later in the half.

Pretty entertaining first half. Dayton erased a 14 point deficit pretty quickly, but Nebraska has built the lead back to nine points at halftime.

Huskers need to rebound better, but otherwise look pretty good.

This is going to be the biggest win for Miles, period. I know they had some MSU wins and the Wisconsin win, but this is non-con and neutral vs a team that has made the dance for like 3 or 4 years years in a row. This victory just put the Big Ten on notice a bit

The chemistry looks so much better with this team. I guess I don't know specifically, but it just seems that way. We don't rely on one or two players to score and do everything. At the half, Webster has 9, Gill with 8, Watson with 7, Morrow with 6, Tshimanga and McVeigh with 3, Jacobson and Roby have 2.

Only -1 on the boards @ half. Hopefully they can improve on that.

I expect some defensive changes by Dayton.

Nebraska has shown decent ball movement, but still wish there was more "motion" to the offense.

Certainly the most impressive they've looked offensively so far this season IMO.

Hardly the biggest win for Miles. It will be an important win if they can secure it but let's not go crazy for Dayton. Dayton is favored by 4 only.

The games you mentioned are noticeably bigger. A win vs Creighton would qualify, however.

Announcers talked about it, brought up AW3 and how he was an "outsider with different intentions". They got the quote from Tai.

We gotta get back quicker, Dayton gets up the court quickly.

Conference wins are different, those will happen in conference.

This is the biggest win (non-con) for sure in Miles time at NU. Congrats!

Let's win the game first.

He's healthy this year too. His foot problems last year really affected him.
Nah, not really. He just needed year. He is the best recruit that Miles has ever (and will ever) get. It just took a year. He is a STUD

Watson and Webster make this team go. Not sure I like both being out at same time.

Huskers still up 11 and will have the ball at the under 12. Dayton getting a lot of 2nd chances but Huskers hitting some shots and making it hard for Dayton to get good looks.
