This is what he said about the influence of Keyshawn Jr. and Gebbia committing to Nebraska and how he views it in his own recruitment:
"You'll get Tristan's commitment very soon," Holmes said.
I said: "To Nebraska?"
"I don't know, hopefully," Holmes said. "I'd love to see him and Keyshawn do that duo again because those guys just can't be stopped. Those two, the chemistry they have on and off the field it's going to be hard to stop them in college."
I said: "Do their commitments influence your thinking at all?"
Holmes: "Yeah, definitely. That definitely influences my thinking. If I have both of my best friends going to the same school and my other best friend (Marquel Dismuke) who just committed in the 2016 class that's definitely going to open things up a lot more."
I said: "What is it that you like at Nebraska so much?"
Holmes: "Right when you step foot on campus everybody is rushing you as a family. It doesn't matter who you are. You could be a no-star guy, they just want to be on you saying, 'Come be with the best fans. Come join a revolution at Calabraska, they say. It's really nice to just be welcomed as a family right when you walk in."
