Makes no sense to me given his concussion history and the way he performed in last year's spring game. IF it's true so much for the concerns about his health."Brian Christopherson of the Journal Star was just on 93.7 in Lincoln saying that he's hearing that Darlington might be moving to slot receiver and we'll find out where he lines up tomorrow."
Someone posted this on another site last night.
I do recall that according to somebody on this board that one of our RBs supposedly had switched to linebacker at one point last fall......mmmmmm not so much. Who knows. Darlington is a heck of an athlete. He tested really well this spring. I know it was one scrimmage, but he looked like a real QB in the spring game last year.If this is true, I'd like to find out who made the decision (Darlington or coaches) and then whether it has any impact of Bush's decision after spring semester.
If Bush transfers out and Darlington moves to slot wr, including walk-ons, who are the remaining QBs in 2017?!?
Even if he switched it doesn't mean he would actually play.Makes no sense to me given his concussion history and the way he performed in last year's spring game. IF it's true so much for the concerns about his health.
Could be the new designated double pass WR.......Even if he switched it doesn't mean he would actually play.
He was never going to play QB here and he doesn't want to leave Lincoln. I don't blame him for switching positions.
Don't forget Tanner Lee will be here for depth in 2017.
If Bush really wants to play college football I hope he transfers. He just isn't going to see the field here IMO.We still don't know for a fact if Bush is transforming after spring ball or just a rumor.
It is strange that Darlington would switch positions and I was wonder if his history of concessions would hold him back in any position he choices to play for us.
Christianson with the LJS is reporting that there is some chatter that ZD is being moved to slot WR.
Anyone else hearing anything?
Great idea, put a kid with concussion issues at slot so a SS can kill him. Sorry, just let him stay qb and teach him how to be a coach. Probably will be a great coach someday.jmo

You didn't get the memo. Riley forced te kid to do this. Duh!If he is cleared, that decision is between him, his parents and the Dr's in Lincoln. .

Nope. Riley forced him to! I just know it!This is affirmative. And it sounds like Zach's decision.
I think you mean Julian Edelman?Maybe he's the next Wes Welker.
This seems strange to me. So the young man has been medically cleared to play football. That means he is healthy enough to play QB. That further means that his switch to wide out is so he has a better chance to play. And what THAT means is that both Fyfe and Bush are better than he at QB?? Given his career in high school and the flashes he has shown at QB here, I am just scratching my head as to why, since he is healthy, he has not moved up the depth chart past Bush at least.
